Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is officially OPEN in Magic Kingdom!
It’s been a long time coming, and though we’ve already had an opportunity to check out the new ride — we can’t wait for you to ride, too! As part of the celebration, Disney announced new souvenirs, entertainment, and of course, snacks to welcome Tiana’s and we’re checking a few of those eats out right now!
New snacks are coming to Magic Kingdom to celebrate the NEW Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, and we stopped by Golden Oak Outpost to try a few out!
Disney giveth, and Disney taketh away. Forget about the fresh fruit waffle — there’s a new menu over at Golden Oak Outpost (with BEIGNETS)!

It’s official, y’all — Tiana’s Famous Beignets are BACK! These are light, sweet, and fluffy beignets with powdered sugar and drizzled with honey. You can grab them for $6.99.
Okay, we really wanted to like these because they look so much different than what we had with the croissant beignets that were here before, and we did! They are much larger — much more built like a true beignet, and they’ve got powdered sugar for days all over them. They are served as three in a container per serving, and they are loaded with honey drizzled all over the top of them, too. They are going to be a little bit different tasting than what you can get at Port Orleans, for example, but they’re more of a true fried beignet versus more of a softer breading beignet.
We also tried the Hot Honey Chicken with Sweet Potato Fries consisting of chicken nuggets tossed in hot sauce-honey served with New Orleans olive relish and Cajun-spiced sweet potato fries for $11.99.
The hot honey chicken wasn’t truly a mind-blowing entrée for us. There’s a little bit more seasoning on these tenders than what you might expect from a normal order, and instead of regular fries, you get sweet potato fries which have a seasoned salt that kind of reminded us of Old Bay Seasoning. It gave it a nice almost cajun kick to it, but if you’re somebody who enjoys a sweet potato smothered in marshmallows and candy, pecans, caramel, and all those extra kinds of drizzles, you might not like the plain, more savory version of the sweet potato fries.
And of course, it wouldn’t be Tiana’s without gumbo! The Shrimp Gumbo with Sweet Potato Fries features Shrimp and Andouille sausage gumbo topped with Cajun-spiced sweet potato fries for $11.99.
The shrimp gumbo is not so bad itself. But keep in mind, the gumbo here is more of vegetable gumbo with a little bit of that Andouille sausage and tiny bits of shrimp. There’s a lot more celery and more spice to this one which we do appreciate, and it’s a little soupier than other gumbos we’ve had. It had spice to it, but not a huge kick so if you’re spice-averse you might still like this!
To wash it all down, we grabbed the Frozen Bayou Lavender Lemonade made with Minute Maid Premium Lemonade and lavender syrup for $6.29.
The lemonade is one of the best slushies we’ve ever had in Disney World and that’s truly saying something! The lavender is pumped at the bottom so it gives it a purple tint when it sits just above the Minute Maid lemonade slush and boy is it good! It’s not overbearing. It’s not super prevalent. You’ll get a hint of it and then the sprig of lavender in the top with the lemon wedge is just right so it’s a really nice, fresh drink that truly has a nice floral undertone to it and kind of gives a new personality to a generic lemonade slush drink.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure picks up the story of The Princess and the Frog “after the final kiss, and join Princess Tiana and Louis on a musical adventure – featuring some of the powerful music from the film – as they prepare for their first-ever Mardi Gras performance.” It officially opened on June 28th, though you might want to brace yourself if you’re planning on visiting to ride soon after — the attraction has been having some issues staying afloat.
The ride is available via a virtual queue, and it is also part of Lightning Lane Multi Pass. That means this ride will NOT have an individual or Lightning Lane Single Pass. To ride, you’ll be able to purchase a Lightning Lane Multi Pass for Magic Kingdom and reserve a Lightning Lane for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

You are PROBABLY tasking something related to Zataran’s vice Old Bay if it’s a creole flavor. Zataran’s is a Louisiana staple vice Old Bay which is more Maryland based.
