This may be the MERRIEST news we have all year!
Last holiday season, we saw the return of Magic Kingdom’s holiday party at Disney World in its original party form (and not as an After Hours event as it had been the previous year due to capacity restrictions from the pandemic). Now, we’ve got the details on what you can expect at the 2024 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party!
This year, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will take place on 25 select nights from November 8th through December 20th, 2024!
This is a special ticketed event that takes place after the park closes to normal guests. So, you’ll need to purchase a different type of party ticket to attend, separate from your theme park admission. Here’s when the party dates are happening this season:
- November: 8th, 11th, 12th, 14th, 15th, 17th, 19th, 21st, 22nd, 24th, 26th, 27th, and 29th
- December: 1st, 3rd, 5th, 6th, 8th, 10th, 12th, 13th, 15th, 17th, 19th, and 20th
Last year’s return to familiar party favorites was a blast! In 2023 we saw the return of Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration stage show, Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, and the Once Upon A Christmastime Parade.
We’re thrilled to hear that Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration Stage Show is returning! This holiday spectacle takes place at Cinderella Castle and stars Mickey Mouse along with other beloved Disney characters all celebrating the magic of the holiday season with classic tunes and incredible performances. The show takes place four times each night, beginning at 7:40PM, 9:25PM, 10:35PM, and 11:55PM.
We’ll also be welcoming back Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks! This dazzling fireworks show includes castle projections, fireworks, and seasonal songs. We’ve seen this version of fireworks for the last few years since the holiday party’s return and think it’s been a great updated addition to the party. This nighttime spectacular takes place at 10PM each evening at the event.
The beloved Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade is also coming back! The parade is very popular because it features Santa Claus, Mickey Mouse, the flying reindeer, and toy soldiers. It even has some of the best holiday scents from some of the parade floats! It takes place each party night at 8:30PM and 11PM.
Just like at previous parties, you’ll be able to enjoy complimentary cookies and hot cocoa at various stops around Magic Kingdom.
Holiday overlays at some of the park rides and attractions will be returning too, exclusively for the party! These overlays will be taking over attractions such as Space Mountain, with holiday tunes and festive lighting, ‘Tomorrowland Speedway Race Through the Holidays’, Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor hosting a seasonal show, and Mad Tea Party featuring holiday combos of lights and music as a special treat to partygoers. You’ll also be able to enjoy the Jingle Cruise at night during the party — but you can also enjoy this one during the day at Magic Kingdom since it’s a seasonal overlay!
Even the tiniest of party attendees can get their groove on! Join an intergalactic dance party at Club Tinsel at Rockettower Plaza Stage in Tomorrowland. If you’re familiar with Disney Junior characters, you can find them over at the Disney Junior Jingle Jam inside Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café to capture some adorable meet-and-greets and photos. And you can catch Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Kristoff, and the snowgies turning Cinderella Castle into a frozen wonderland at 8:15PM on event nights.
Don’t forget to capture your holiday spirit in photo form with these pop-up photo ops around the Magic Kingdom! You’ll want to check the party guide maps for their exact locations. And of course, there will also be special meet and greet opportunities with Disney characters decked out in their finest holiday attire.
Tickets will be on sale beginning July 2nd, 2024, for all guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels, for event dates during their stay. And for all other guests, tickets will be available on July 10th, 2024. Tickets will cost between $169 and $219 per person, with prices varying depending on the date selected. You’ll be able to purchase these tickets online through the My Disney Experience app and website once they’re available.

I am going to be there week of Dec 9th w/my daughter – she splurged for a “retirement trip” for me. We can not wait. She is a former cast member. We have been enjoying this newsletter. We are going to be at the party on 12/12!

I hope you have an absolutely magical time at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in celebration of your retirement, Donna! Congratulations!

Will they be limiting the number of people at the event? In the past, I have been VERY DISAPPOINTED to see HUGE crowds.
DFB Gigi says
Hi Perry! Each party has limited attendance, but some nights it’s definitely way more crowded than others, especially right at the very beginning of the season and right at the very end.

This is so fun & looking forward to the specialty food they will have! When does Disney usually release that info for you to know? Hoping they bring some favorites back from last year!
