There’s one thing you’ll find on Disney cruise ships that you WON’T find in Disney World: a TON of FREE food!
Disney cruises are all-inclusive, meaning the cost for your cruise vacation includes not only your stateroom but also your meals and most activities on board. But there are still some things that will cost EXTRA, so make sure you consider them when planning your budget! Here’s a list of six things that will cost extra on Disney’s NEW Treasure cruise ship.
The new Disney Treasure cruise ship is a Wish-class ship that will set sail on its maiden voyage in December 2024. It will be the sixth ship in Disney’s fleet and has a theme inspired by “Walt Disney’s lifelong love of adventure.” According to Disney executive Josh D’Amaro, the Treasure’s design is “inspired by the grandeur and mystery of a gilded palace,” drawing artistic inspiration from Asia, Africa, and even Aladdin’s Agrabah.
Just like Disney’s other cruise ships, the Treasure will have lots of restaurants and activities on board. Assuming the ship has a similar dining plan as the rest of Disney’s ships, the food at the rotational dining restaurants and at various quick service locations on board will be included in the cost of your trip. The rotational dining restaurants on board include Plaza de Coco, Worlds of Marvel, and 1923. There will also be several counter-service restaurants, like Marceline Market.
However, some food on board the Treasure will likely NOT be included in the cost of your vacation. Again, we’re making these assumptions based on how things work on Disney’s other five cruise ships. Here’s a list of some eats that are most likely going to cost extra.
Drinks and Eats at the Lounges
Food and drinks that you get at the lounges on board will probably cost extra. But you still might want to consider paying these locations a visit because there are some INCREDIBLE-sounding lounges coming to the Treasure.
The Haunted Mansion Parlor
One that we’re super excited to visit is The Haunted Mansion Parlor. In this space, “foolish mortals will sip spirited craft cocktails among 999 happy haunts for the first time.”
The story of this lounge is based on a jovial captain who entered the ghostly realm after a disastrous dinner with his beloved fiancé. You’ll get to see characters from the classic Haunted Mansion attraction around the lounge, and Disney Imagineering has promised “an ever-escalating anthology of illusions that immerses guests into the mysterious lore of the Haunted Mansion.”
Sounds amazing, right? At this lounge, you can pay extra to get cocktails and eats. During a sneak peek, Disney shared that there will be a zero-proof cocktail with blood orange and sour cherry flavors called Sympathetic Libations.
There will be an ube-flavored drink called The Ghoulish Delight that combines sweetness and nuttiness with ube fudge, oat milk, and tapioca pearls. Plus, you can grab a tequila-based cocktail that’s a spooky twist on a classic margarita, which will contain a secret message revealed in black light.
Three BIG Surprises Coming to Disney’s Haunted Mansion Parlor
Skipper Society
If you’re a fan of the Jungle Cruise attraction, you’ll want to pay the Skipper Society lounge a visit!
The lounge will have familiar music based on the ride and will include spiels from Jungle Cruise attractions around the world.
In this “elevated, yet playful atmosphere,” you can grab drinks and light snacks. The lounge is going to be located just off the Grand Hall of the Treasure.

Periscope Pub
Another themed lounge on the Treasure is the Periscope Pub, which is inspired by both the Disney movie 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and the Disney Parks attraction that was open in Disney World from 1971 to 1994.
The atmosphere is inspired by a submarine with “19th-century steampunk influences.” There will be “a mysterious window into the mythical depths of the uncharted oceans” spanning the full ceiling!
Head to the Periscope Pub for craft brews, light snacks, sports on the TVs, and some nods to a certain giant squid.
Adult-Exclusive Restaurants
Like the other Disney cruise ships, the Treasure will have a few adult-only restaurants on board. These are not part of the rotational dining list and they do cost extra if you choose to dine there. You will need reservations at most of these spots, so make sure to get those before your trip!
There will be three Beauty and the Beast-inspired adult-only dining areas on the Treasure (just like on the Wish): The Rose, Palo Steakhouse, and Enchanté.
The Rose is a lounge where you can sip on a before- or after-dinner cocktail or choose from a collection of wines and liquors.
Palo Steakhouse has — you guessed it — steak, with decor inspired by Cogsworth.
Enchanté is the most elegant and elevated dining experience on the Treasure, with a gourmet menu created by three-Michelin-starred Chef Arnaud Lallement.
The restaurant is inspired by Lumière.

Treats at Jumbeaux’s Sweets
In case you get sick of the free soft-serve ice cream and want a different sweet treat, you can head to Jumbeaux’s Sweets to find a candy shop themed to Disney’s Zootopia movie!
The shop will feature Victorian-style architecture and will house sculptures of Officer Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde from the movie.
You can get more than 20 flavors of handmade gelato, 16 flavors of ice cream and sorbets, specialty treats, candies, and more at this location. These cost extra and are not included in the cost of your vacation.

Coffee at HeiHei Café and Jade Cricket Café
Looking for a little caffeinated boost during your trip? Head over to Heihei Café! This is a walk-up cafe just off the Grand Hall that’s themed to the Disney film Moana where you can purchase coffee or tea.
But that’s not the only option if you’re looking for a drink: You can also visit the Jade Cricket Café, inspired by Mulan! At this café, you’ll find a jade sculpture paying tribute to Cri-Kee.
Popcorn and Treats for the Shows
One more place where food and drinks will cost extra is at the concession stand near the theater. You’re welcome to bring popcorn, candy, and drinks into the theater when you go to each evening’s show, but you have to pay extra for it.
Every Disney cruise ship has a Walt Disney Theatre, which is home to Broadway-style shows. On the Treasure, those shows will be Beauty and the Beast, Disney Seas the Adventure, and Disney: The Tale of Moana.

But it’s not just some food that will cost extra. There are a few activities that are not included that you should know about!
Disney cruise ships have many activities that are free for guests to take part in. There are lots of pools to visit, you can head to trivia and game nights, and don’t forget to attend various classes where you can learn to draw Disney characters or make folded towel animals! But not all activities are free: Any treatments you want to get at the Senses Spa will likely cost extra.
Spa Treatments
Senses Spa on the Treasure will have spa and beauty treatments, and these are not included in the cost of your vacation. The spa will have private treatment rooms, spa villas, and steam and aromatherapy rooms.
Note that the Senses Fitness Center is free to use, so you can take advantage of the exercise equipment there at no additional cost.
Haircuts and other treatments at Hook’s Barbery and the Untangled Salon also cost extra. Both locations offer haircuts, styling, and nail care.
