We’ll say it once, and we’ll say it again, it’s not always easy getting decent breakfast options once you’re in the parks. What gives, Disney? Breakfast is the most important meal of the day!
At your hotel? Sure, you’ll find a variety of great breakfasts, from character dining experiences to quick service (like those awesome Breakfast Totchos). At EPCOT, the breakfast options are even slimmer, which makes NO sense because EPCOT has so many amazing food choices for lunch and dinner. But that’s recently changed, and we are SO happy to share this great breakfast news with you.
So as you may know, all the construction for the massive EPCOT transformation is finally complete (although EPCOT isn’t completely done with construction just yet…but we digress). The final part of the transformation, CommuniCore Hall and Plaza, recently opened.
Something else opened up with that new space, though — a new food spot. Okay, that’s enough to get excited about, right? There’s a NEW food spot in EPCOT, y’all! It’s called Festival Favorites, and it’s a quick service spot open year-round that serves up some of the best food from EPCOT’s many festivals. So it’s basically like a festival spot that’s open even when there isn’t a festival happening in EPCOT. YAY!
Here’s the BEST news about Festival Favorites, though: It’s open at 9:30AM. So if you’re wanting breakfast at EPCOT and you don’t want to wait in line at Connections Cafe (EPCOT’s Starbucks), just head on over to Festival Favorites to grab something different. We imagine that the menu might change here often, but recently, we enjoyed some delicious Arepas and Coconut Tres Leches.
You can also get a specialty cocktail, beer, or wine here, too (yes, we’re talking about breakfast, but it’s Happy Hour somewhere when it’s 9:30AM in Florida, right?).
So if you’re arriving at EPCOT at 9AM (its usual opening time) and want something a little different for breakfast, you know where to go. Even better? You’ll probably not have to deal with a long line there either! So you can grab a quick bite to fuel for a day full of your favorite rides and EPCOT experiences.
However, if you are looking for a character dining breakfast in EPCOT, you can always get a reservation for Garden Grill to have breakfast with Chip ‘n’ Dale and friends or Akershus Royal Banquet Hall to dine with Disney princesses. Not that these dining experiences will take some time out of your busy day, so plan accordingly.

Sadly, this dessert is probably the best thing on the menu. Other foods on the menu received poor reviews. The sandwiches were ice cold and cold drinks were warm.

We love breakfast at Akershus, and we’re very happy that Chip and Dale have returned (including at breakfast!) at Garden Grill. Another good option for table service fans is a character breakfast at a resort hotel near Epcot. Make it one on the Skyliner or monorail and your transpo is even easier!

Just want to comment that I like the new format.

That’s not breakfast, not even food

$12 for a warm seasonal beer. Would rather wait until evening meal elsewhere (outside Disney) at half the cost.

Maybe they should add 2 items for breakfast that’s fast and convenient for the first two hours it’s open? Breakfast Burrito and Breakfast Pizza, sounds about right…
