Here at DFB, we’re REALLY into Disney food. Seriously, it’s right there in our name!
We’ve been covering Disney food and blogging about it for more than 15 years (!!!) at this point, which means we’ve been to every Disney restaurant, eaten hundreds (if not thousands) of snacks, and spent countless hours at EPCOT festivals.
Through all those culinary adventures, three Disney World restaurants have never let us down, and today we’re sharing that list!
Le Cellier
Let’s kick things off with a classic EPCOT favorite — Le Cellier! This steakhouse is tucked away in the Canada Pavilion, and can sometimes be a challenge to grab a reservation for, since it has long been a go-to for birthdays and special occasions.Â
They serve some classic steakhouse options, as well as a few signature dishes like their poutine and Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup. The atmosphere is warm and cozy (sometimes just a smidge too cozy because those booths can be very close together), and it really does feel like you’re dining in a cellar.
We’ve thoroughly enjoyed pretty much every meal we’ve had here in the past, and while it’s not the most budget-friendly of the options, it’s incredibly reliable. We can almost always count on a warm bowl of soup and a delicious filet mignon.

Nomad Lounge
Now, let’s talk hidden gems! If you’ve been a DFB fan for a while, then you know that one of our FAVORITE places to dine in Animal Kingdom is Nomad Lounge. This lounge is attached to Tiffins, but it has its own Walk-up Waitlist and seating process, plus a slightly different menu.Â
The menu here is made up of specialty beverages (including several fun and exclusive mocktails), as well as a variety of small plates. You can also sometimes order items off the Tiffins menu next door. They tend to offer some seasonal specialties, and we haven’t been disappointed by one of their menu items yet!
They have both indoor and outdoor seating, and if the weather is amenable, we love getting a table on the patio where we can people-watch and enjoy nature. It’s a truly lovely experience!

Sanaa
Last but not least, we HAVE to mention Sanaa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge — Kidani Village. This spot is so rarely visited because it’s hidden at a Disney Vacation Club resort, but it’s SO worth the trek. You can enjoy authentic African and Indian-inspired eats while dining with a view.Â
The tables here look out on the savanna at the resort, and during the daytime, you can sometimes see animals strolling past the window. Where else do you get that experience?! And of course, we’ve got to mention their iconic bread service served with delicious naan and various dips.
Sanaa is pretty much the definition of a hidden gem, and we’ve enjoyed nearly all of our meals there. There’s a reason why we keep recommending it over and over again!

So, nothing at Disneyland?

We stopped going to Le Cellier around 8 years ago after 3 low quality meals over a period of around 4-5 years. We came to the conclusion that the price was way to high for those poor experiences. It did free us up to try some other Disney world resort restaurants though and we have some new favorites!

Not a fan of Sanaa but the others picks are spot on ! I love Hollywood and Vine. Very good food !

I agree with your list, AJ. I would throw California Grill and Shula’s Steakhouse on that list too. But alas, none of these places serve anything with plastic cheese! What’s up with that?

Regal Eagle is just a scaled down of what Flame Tree used to be

Love all three of these. Don’t go to Le Cellier anymore as they priced themselves out of our rotation. Our definite go to is always Baseline Taphouse in HS!! We absolutely love to get a beer flight and a charcuterie board here plus a soft pretzel with plastic cheese! We can sit here and drink and nibble for hours while people watching and giving our feet a break! We also adore Nomad Lounge! And we always hit Ale and Compass for breakfast at the Yacht Club. Hard to beat their breakfast menu.

Agreed, Le Cellier is wonderful.
And though not table service, Boma in Animal Kingdom Lodge is incredible.
But our favorite has to be the extra special dining experience at Victoria & Albert’s.
Without question, the most elaborate high end dining at Disney, it is the perfect spot for that most special of occasions. We had our daughter’s 21st birthday dinner there.
I recall one year being there and telling our waitstaff that we wanted them to let the Chef (Scott Hunnel) know how much we like the meal. They asked if we wanted to meet him. We were thrilled, he was so nice and we totally fangirled over seeing the kitchen and meeting him.

Sanaa might be in an isolated spot. But it’s a tough restaurant to get a reservation. The bread service is always a must have
