It’s finally HERE!
We have been waiting MONTHS to see the new rendition of the iconic, opening day attraction Country Bear Jamboree in Frontierland. The attraction had its last day of operation in its original form on January 26th, 2024 and then went under refurbishment. Now the attraction is finally open again, and we got a first look at the new show!
This new version of the show is called the Country Bear Musical Jamboree and will feature our favorite bears singing classic Disney songs in new styles like country, rockabilly, and bluegrass and the show itself is inspired by classic Nashville variety shows.
This means that the bears have also gotten new looks to match the new show vibe, and we do know that there will be Easter eggs throughout the whole show that are from the original version of the show that ran for so many decades.
We headed to Country Bear Musical Jamboree first thing this morning to check out the changes, which started the moment we stepped inside! (Well, technically, they started on the outside of the building — check out the new signs!)
There’s even a new poster with all the acts featured! We’re ready for a hootin’ and hollerin’ good time.
The lobby of the theater is the same ol’ room that we know and love, but now it has NEW decor!
There are several displays with different Country Bear artifacts and props. Longtime fans of the show will love checking these out and scouring for details!
It’s like heading to a concert for your favorite artist and seeing an exhibit of their accomplishments and big career moments.
Several of the bears from the show are represented with different props and artifacts, and there are even a few nods to the former version of the show.
After we checked out the lobby, it was time to head inside the theater! We’re getting ready for the show.
The show is opened by the band, The Five Bear Rugs! They kick things off with a song called “Country Bear Musical Jamboree.”

From there, Bunny, Bubbles, and Beulah join the fabulous Trixie onstage!
The ladies sing a country version of “Try Everything” from Zootopia! We heard previews of this song before the show, so we’re excited to see the bears sing it.

After that, we get Romeo McGrowl (formerly known as Liver Lips McGrowl but renamed for the new show) on the stage to sing an Elvis-style version of “Kiss the Girl” from The Little Mermaid.
He’s got a completely new look, and it’s honestly pretty great! Look at that HAIR.

Then we get a rendition of “Fixer Upper” from Frozen! This is performed by Terrance, who was formerly known as Shaker.
After that, it’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for — Big Al! He sings “Remember Me” from Coco. But honestly, he kind of gives a little “Blood on the Saddle” tease.
A touching rendition, Big Al. Truly touching. 🥲🪕#mediaevent #CountryBearMusicalJamboree #WaltDisneyWorld pic.twitter.com/nw6hfmRZRh

And now it’s time for the finale! The whole group comes out for a country rendition of “The Bare Necessities.” What a fitting song!
How’s THAT for a grand finale? We can’t wait for this attraction to open SOON in Magic Kingdom! #mediaevent #CountryBearMusicalJamboree #WaltDisneyWorld pic.twitter.com/ueBBwcBG8o

Did they fix the bears “clinking” when they moved and blinked? That’s what freaked out my kiddos when we last saw this show.

They did a nice job on the music. I am looking forward to seeing the entire show. I will always miss the classic, “All the Guys Who Turn Me On, Turn Me Down,” from the original show. It’s still hillarious.

I wasn’t all that excited about this show but this looks like such a great makeover!! I love the Disney song choices! I’m looking forward to seeing this in October!!
Colleen Marrelli says
So no more “All the guys that turn me on turn me down” from Bunny Bubbles and Beulah ? That was my song 😭😭
Dan Lenius says
The Country Bears were there own entity. To now interface with all the same Disney songs is very disappointing. I have enjoyed the Country Bears for over 40 years. I could even take the Christmas make-over. But this is not good. It looks like when they tried to re-do the tiki room. They put it back… Time will tell.
Heidi says
So glad they kept Buff and Max!

Great update! This is still a terrific show. Things change, age, and need refreshing. They did a marvelous and respectful job. Go, Imagineers!
