A major Disney star is set to release their life story.

Josh Gad posted this Instagram selfie at the World of Frozen in Hong Kong Disneyland

Josh Gad is arguably one of the biggest Disney stars of the last decade. The actor’s work in the Frozen franchise has made him one of the most recognizable voices in the Disney canon. Now, Gad is ready to chronicle his life and career in an upcoming new book.

In early July 2024, Gad took to his Instagram account to announce that his autobiography — entitled In Gad We Trust – – will be released in January 2025.

The actor wrote of the book, “I am thrilled to announce that I too am staying in the race and by race, I mean publishing my memoir, IN GAD WE TRUST, which you can pre-order now ahead of its January ’25 release. In the age of book banning, it felt like the right time to test the waters and release something that will resonate with readers who are still allowed to read literature in 2025. From the highs and lows of my career to the personal moments that shaped me, this book is a deeply personal look into my life and experiences. The book will presumably cover Gad’s Disney career, including voicing Olaf in the Frozen franchise and portraying Le Fou in the live-action version of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, both of which contributed to the actor being named a Disney Legend in 2022. Outside of Disney, the book will likely cover other career highlights including Gad’s early work on The Daily Show, and his star-making Tony Nominated run in the original Broadway production of The Book of Mormon.

Just days after announcing the book, Disney released a video of Gad touring the World of Frozen land at Hong Kong Disneyland. In the clip, Gad explores the heavily themed village of Arendelle, rides the land’s attractions, and interacts with cast members in character.

The Hong Kong video wasn’t the first time Disney and Gad collaborated on a YouTube video. Last year, the company released a video of the actor portraying a Jungle Cruise Skipper, complete with the requisite amount of puns.
