It is summertime in Florida, which means that Disney World can be hot, rainy, and humid.
On top of the elements, you do A LOT of walking at Disney World, so you need to make sure you have comfortable shoes. There is one problem that could ruin your Disney World vacation if you are not careful with the type of shoes you wear. We asked Disney fans, AKA our awesome readers, if they experience this painful problem.
Rain, heat, and being on your feet all day? We probably sound crazy for braving the elements to visit the parks, but we love it! However, you do walk a lot in Disney World, and blisters can RUIN your trip. While these fans have experienced the pain of blisters in Disney World, they also shared great tips to make sure you can avoid them on your next trip!
One of our readers shared that they got caught in a downpour with a long walk ahead of them. At the time, they were wearing Crocs without socks, so their feet were sliding around in their shoes, resulting in big blisters on their heels. They bought Moleskin, which was a lifesaver!
Another reader shared that they no longer get blisters at Disney World because they listened to AJ’s tip to bring Moleskin! It is tried and true!
Another reader shared that KT Tape works great as a blister cover. This tape is worn by athletes and can withstand heat, which is especially important in Florida during the summer.
A reader shared that for them, “KT strips work like a champ!” KT tape is also a great way to secure Bandages and ensure that they do not peel or slip off throughout the day. You can precut strips and keep them with you in case you need to reapply.
Another reader suggested using blister Bandaids as they have saved the day for them multiple times!
Many other readers shared their stories, saying that “blister Bandages work great,” “I always carry blister Bandages with me,” and “blister bandages are AMAZING.”
To carry all of your blister supplies, we suggest bringing a small pouch or first aid kit with you to the parks. This way, all of your supplies are in one place and not just thrown in your park bag.
We like this first aid kit and bring it to the parks with us. It is especially a lifesaver on long park days. It has 130 pieces and includes tweezers, tape, bandages, wipes, and tons of other helpful things!
It is also safe to bring through TSA and comes in a variety of patterns and colors!
Don’t let blisters ruin your park day! Remember to wear comfortable shoes and come prepared with a kit in case blisters start to form throughout the day. Also, remember that it is hot in the summertime at Disney World, so continue to apply sunscreen throughout the day and remember to stay hydrated! As always, stay tuned to DFB for more helpful Disney World tips and tricks!
