An annual holiday that we are VERY passionate about is right around the corner.
It can seem like everything gets a holiday, but we promise that this one is super important because it involves an iconic Disney snack. This year will be the fourth annual celebration of this fan-favorite frozen treat!
This holiday is honored each year on the third Thursday of July, which happens to fall on July 18th of this year. Any guesses as to what this Disney snack this day is celebrating?
It is DOLE Whip Day! Love it or hate it, DOLE Whip is a classic Disney treat available in different flavors across Disney World and Disneyland!
It is most known to be found in Adventureland at Sunshine Tree Terrace as well as at Aloha Aisle. Over at the Polynesian Village Resort at Pineapple Lanai, and Swirls on the Water in Disney Springs.Â
Why DOLE Whip Experts Never Get the Basic DOLE Whip Pineapple Flavor
DOLE Whip treats can also pop up around different hotels in the form of a fun, boozy drink.
DOLE Whip can also be found in Disneyland’s Adventureland at The Tropical Hideaway and the Tiki Juice Bar. If you head over to the Disneyland hotel, you can find this treat at Tangarora Terrace and Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar.Â
You can even get DOLE Whip sailing the high seas aboard Disney Cruise Line!
While DOLE Whip is better known for its pineapple flavor, it comes in a wide variety of flavors, including orange, lime, cherry, watermelon, and so much more!Â

Let’s take a trip down memory lane of some different DOLE Whips that we have gotten across the parks.
It is not just at hotels and resorts that you can get DOLE Whip, but also at water parks! If you take a trip to Typhoon Lagoon, you can try this DOLE Whip Treat, which is served in a BATHTUB!
The updated version of the DOLE Whip Bathtub Sundae features three different flavors: DOLE Whip Pineapple, DOLE Whip Strawberry, and Green Matcha Tea Soft-Serve. You can find this treat at Typhoon Tilly’s, and you even get to keep the bathtub!
Swirls on the Water has a rotating menu, and right now, the main features are all about DOLE Whip Orange to celebrate the Flavors of Florida. In 2023, a cone was dedicated to one of our favorite princesses who has a dream!
The Rapunzel Cone featured DOLE Whip Lemon and DOLE Whip Raspberry swirled in a lavender cone with sugar flowers. This cone was so pretty! It was also delicious! We loved the fruity flavor of the raspberry and the zesty lemon, as it offered a nice sweet-and-sour combo.
If you are looking for a specialty DOLE Whip that you can very soon, you are going to want to check out EPCOT, but hurry, it will only be around for a limited time!
From July 14th to July 21st, at Refreshment Outpost, you can try a DOLE Whip Cherry-Pineapple Swirl cone. We can’t wait to try it and will let you know how it is!
If you can’t make it to the parks to celebrate DOLE Whip Day, don’t stress. We have some ways you can celebrate at home!
You can make your own Dole Whip at home with this recipe here!

Near the bottom of this article about dole whip day, you mention a watermelon flavor but I don’t see it here or on the link where you mention all kinds of flavors and where to get in wdw. That’s my favorite flavor! Where can I get it?

The watermelon flavor comes and goes around various locations. Here’s our review of the time we found it at Marketplace Snacks, but it is not currently being offered: https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2021/05/26/review-watermelon-dole-whip-is-back-in-disney-world-but-heres-a-word-of-warning/

I’m so curious about something I’ve never seen talked about re: Dole Whip.
From the first time it started popping up at other places besides Magic Kingdom and the Polynesian, there’s been two distinct “versions” of the standard pineapple soft serve. I noticed it first when Dole Whip appeared at Animal Kingdom — we were so excited to see it available there, ordered it, and it was… different. It was less creamy and more like… a frozen slushy? I can never figure out exactly how to describe the second version.
Since then, we’ve noticed this at multiple other places outside of Aloha Isle and the Pineapple Lanai, including (disappointingly) Swirls on the Water.
In other places it is more like the texture of the orange one from the original stand at MK. More “icy” than creamy. The original Dole Whip at MK tastes like other kinds of soft serve ice cream with full creaminess.
But I’ve never seen anyone even mention this, and it makes me curious if other people don’t notice it, or if it is no big deal to folks because they still get the pineapple flavor, or if I’m crazy. My wife and I both have a marked preference for the creamier version that is more like ice cream. We were relieved after seeing it pop up other places that when we returned to MK, it was the creamy version. I live in fear of going to Aloha Isle or Pineapple Lanai and getting the “wrong” version!
