What you’re about to see is a challenge of epic proportions. But for Dole Whip Day (July 18th), we pull out all the stops. We’re not afraid to take on the task, even if such an activity is probably easier when split between friends. When Dole Whip is involved, the gloves come off.
In honor of Dole Whip Day, we were invited to participate in Disney’s Dole Whip Dash. Think of it like a scavenger hunt, but just for Dole Whip treats. Now, THAT is a scavenger hunt we can get behind! But remember how we told you this was a BIG challenge? Well, you’ll understand why in a moment. We ate nine (!!!) Dole Whip treats in one day. Nine. Breakfast? Dole Whip. Lunch? Dole Whip? Dinner? You guessed it! Dole Whip! Dessert? Lobster Thermidor. Kidding! We had more Dole Whip. Behold — Dole Whip Day 2024: EXTREME Edition.
Our journey began with this fun little scavenger hunt. We were given a map of locations and a simple mission: experience a taste of all of the best DOLE Whip treats throughout Disney World. We’re in!
Naturally, we started at Magic Kingdom’s  Sunshine Tree Terrace. Here, we opted for a Dole Whip Swirl! Why get one flavor when you can enjoy TWO at once?!
Up next, we went to Aloha Isle Refreshments. We had to get a simple Dole Whip treat here; it’s only fair, given the event.
Hope you’re not getting full yet because we have way more treats to eat! Over in Fantasyland, Storybook Treats serves all kinds of Dole Whip desserts! We made our own little creation: a Strawberry Dole Whip Root Beer Float. One word: YUM!
And POOF! Just like that, we’re in EPCOT. At Refreshment Outpost, we had to get the NEW DOLE Whip Cherry-Pineapple Swirl. This one is only available July 14th through July 21st, which is a real shame because it’s SO pretty.
Fast-forward past EPCOT, and suddenly, we’re in Disney’s Animal Kingdom! More specifically, we stopped by Trilo-Bites to get the Zazu DOLE Whip Lime and Coconut Float. This one is DOLE Whip Lime swirled into Sprite with coconut and blue curaçao syrup and topped with a white chocolate medallion. It’s available now through September 9th.
Even the Disney World hotels got in on the action! Here, we got actual, solid (ish) food: a DOLE Whip Cupcake from Contempo Café at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. This one is SO fun! It’s a yellow cupcake filled with DOLE Whip pineapple mousse and garnished with a cherry.
For our final stop, we were off to Disney Springs. There’s a small kiosk across from the World of Disney Store called Swirls on the Water, and they serve some excellent Dole Whip treats! We had to end with a BANG, so we got the DOLE Whip Sampler.
The trio features:
- DOLE Whip swirled with vanilla soft-serve garnished with a pineapple wedge
- DOLE Whip Strawberry swirled with coconut soft-serve topped with strawberry sauce and coconut flakes
- DOLE Whip Mango swirled with DOLE Whip Lime topped with chili-lime seasoning and diced mango
WHEW! What a day! The life of a Disney World reporter is pretty exciting; you never know what you might be doing. Happy Dole Whip Day to everyone — even if you can’t enjoy nine Dole Whip desserts, we hope the citrusy spirit of Dole Whip is celebrated throughout your day. In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more.
