Disney is dropping HUGE show, movie, and entertainment news at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. We’ve heard about a new Inside Out-inspired series coming to Disney+, a new Toy Story sequel, the third Avatar movie, and many more projects! Now, news of another sequel has just dropped, and we can’t wait to visit our favorite animal city once again.
Disney just made our jaw drops with an exciting announcement. Ginnifer Goodwin, the voice of Judy Hopps in Zootopia, took the stage at the Disney Entertainment Showcase to announce that Zootopia 2 will be coming to theaters in 2025!

In the new sequel, we’ll see favorite characters like Mr. Big, Officer Clawhauser, and Flash the sloth (if he can make it) return. There will also be new characters including reptiles!
‘Zootopia 2’
According to Goodwin, “Reptiles have a shade past in Zootopia.” Judy and Nick are on a new mystery searching for Gary, the snake played by Ke Huy Quan. Gary is a wanted reptile when Judy and Nick are trying to find him. We’ll be introduced to a new neighborhood, Marsh Market, and new pal Nibbles a beaver. Marsh Market is an area where semi-aquatic mammals live, so we expect to meet new animals and characters!
Reptiles are coming to Zootopia!
