It’s officially spooky season!
The first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party of 2024 is here! The Halloween party takes place in Magic Kingdom from August 9th through October 31st. It’s a spook-tacular event that we are excited about each year. There are tons of specialty snacks, exclusive entertainment, spooky ride overlays, and of course, trick-or-treating. We grabbed our specially-priced tickets for the party right when they became available, and now we’re finally here! Let’s take a look at what the crowds are doing this year at the first party of the season.
It’s time for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom! We’re ready to kick things off and see everything this party has to offer this year — but it looks like we’re not the only ones!
The party runs from 7PM until midnight, but if you have a ticket, you can get into Magic Kingdom at 4PM! We got to the park as soon as we could because we didn’t want to miss a minute of Halloween fun. When we got to the gate and entered the line for ticket holders we noticed that things didn’t look all that bad just yet!
We really didn’t think this line was all that bad — especially since the first night is completely sold out of tickets! However, since the park is still open to regular ticket holders until 7PM, crowds throughout the rest of the park have still been a bit heavy.
And, if you’re hoping to get a photo with Jack and Sally at that meet and greet, you might be waiting a while. Just after party guests were allowed into the park beginning at 4PM, there was already a HUGE line for this meet and greet. Of course, things could change as the night goes on, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated.
Before the party officially started, the park was a little congested in some areas. But, by the time the party began, those crowds quickly thinned out.
The crowds were pretty low in most areas! We noticed people started to line up for the first Boo-to-You Parade about an hour before it started, but elsewhere, the crowds were nowhere to be seen.
By around 9:30PM, the wait times for three of the most popular rides were starting to creep up, up, up.
The Haunted Mansion was sitting at about 45 minutes at 9:20PM. As you can see, the wait times for most other rides were pretty low.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure reached a 50-minute standby wait about halfway through the party.
We’ll be keeping tabs on the crowds and ride wait times as the evening continues, so stay tuned to DFB for more info!
