Disney World nights are about to get ELECTRIC.

This weekend, Disney hosted the massive D23 Ultimate Fan Event in Anaheim, California. The sprawling convention broke the news from across Disney’s spectrum of offerings, including films, television streaming, video games, and, of course, theme parks.
One of the biggest announcements of the weekend was the reveal of a BRAND-NEW nighttime parade at Disney World. Following in the footsteps of previous iconic nighttime spectaculars like the Main Street Electrical Parade and Spectromagic, the new Disney Starlight is scheduled to launch in the summer of 2025! That’s next summer!

When talking about Disney’s history of nighttime entertainment, Josh D’Amaro said, “Disney Starlight will add to that legacy.” The new parade will feature a star-kissed constellation of Disney dreams brought to life by the magic of the Blue Fairy. In fact, this new nighttime entertainment will use “the latest technology” to tell new stories about Disney’s classic characters.
“Disney Starlight” will come to Magic Kingdom in Summer 2025 using the latest technology to bring Disney stories to life and will feature moments from fan-favorite films like Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Peter Pan,” “Frozen” and “Encanto.”

The parade’s floats are expected to include new characters like some of our favorites from Encanto and Frozen, along with a few nostalgic ones like Peter Pan!

Finally!! So excited to have a nighttime parade again at MK!
It’s so great that the nighttime parade is coming back. It will probably be great, but I hope that someday Spectromagic and ELP will come back for visits too. They were regular features of the parks for so long. Generations of people (including the younger ones) remember these. They are not just ‘nostalgia’ (although I do not accept that nostalgia is a bad thing), but they are a big part of the magic.
