Disney Villains Are Getting a NEW LOOK! See Their EPIC Transformation Coming to Screens This Fall

This weekend, Disney hosted the massive D23 Ultimate Fan Event in Anaheim, California. The impressive fan convention brought news from across Disney’s variety of businesses, including films, television streaming, video games, and parks.

All that said, one of the big announcements to come out of Saturday night’s Horizons: Disney Experience Showcase panel was about video games. Yep, video games! Wait until you see Captain Hook, Maleficent, and Cruella de Vil in their EPIC Fortnite debut.

At D23, with millions of viewers watching within the game itself, Disney announced a slew of updates coming to Fortnite. In addition, “leaders from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Lucasfilm, and Marvel Studios also shared their vision for what’s possible in the future entertainment universe being created by Epic Games in collaboration with Disney.”

First up, Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Chief Creative Officer Jennifer Lee offered a “delightfully vile” sneak peek for fans of Disney Villains, as the evil Maleficent, Cruella de Vil, and Captain Hook will become the first Disney Animation characters to join Fortnite later this fall. Pete Docter did the same for Pixar, sharing a glimpse at characters from The Incredibles, the first Pixar franchise to join the game this fall.

New Star Wars and Marvel characters are coming to the game as well. The former will see characters and items including “IG-11, Moff Gideon and all-new Grogu dynamic Back Bling arrive… next week!”

Marvel will also continue their relationship with the game, as “today’s crossover event started inside Fortnite with a thrilling in-game conclusion to the current season of Battle Royale, where the power of Pandora’s Box re-emerged as the catalyst for an on-stage world premiere of a new cinematic and gameplay trailer revealing the origins of a new upcoming Marvel-themed season, presented on-stage at D23 by Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige.”

Next week, on Aug. 16th, Fortnite Battle Royale’s Chapter 5, Season 4: Absolute Doom, featuring the Fantastic Four and Doctor Doom will be released. “The new season will allow players from around the world to continue the Fortnite and Marvel story with new action-packed gameplay and locations to explore.”

The next season of Marvel on Fortnite debuts NEXT WEEK, August 16th. The villain will be Doctor Doom! #D23
