Who’s ready for the biggest event of the year at EPCOT?!
The International Food & Wine Festival runs from August 29th to November 23rd, 2024, and there is a LOT to eat. With dozens of food booths and multiple menu items at each, how do you choose what to add to your buy list on a one-day visit? Well, here at DFB, we’ve been going to the Food & Wine Festival for 15 years, and we have some things we buy EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
Canada
Our first and classic stop when we go to Food & Wine is the Canada booth, where you’ll find both the Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup and the Filet Mignon. Both of these dishes have been around for many years, and they are a delicious taste from the menu at the nearby Le Cellier restaurant.
You know what the BEST way to eat this is? To dip the filet into the soup! It’s like fondue. And who doesn’t love a good fondue?! The sides with the filet have changed over the years but it’s still spectacular.
The Fry Basket
One of the newer items we’ve been adding to our must-get lists is the French Fry Flight from The Fry Basket! This booth premiered a few years ago and was an instant hit with its many french fry flavors, but the best way to try multiple options is with the Fry Flight.
The Fry Flight comes with Truffle-Parmesan Fries, Barbeque Bacon Fries, and Sweet Potato Casserole Fries this year. Sounds spectacular!
The Alps
Another returning favorite is The Alps booth, and this spot is home to the Warm Raclette Swiss Cheese served with baby potatoes, cornichons, and baguette. You can get it with or without ham on top as well.
This has been a DFB favorite for a few years now and we highly recommend it for cheese lovers and those who want something that’s small but surprisingly filling! They melt the cheese on top of the other items right in front of you, so it’s hot and fresh.
Milled and Mulled
Milled and Mulled is a new booth for 2024, but it’s home to one of our old favorites from the Flavors of America booth. Here, you’ll find the freshly-baked carrot cake with walnuts and cream cheese icing. Sound delicious? That’s because it IS.
In years past this cake has been soft, warm, and covered in delicious icing. The walnuts add a nice crunch, and the flavor is so very homey that you’ll feel like you’re sitting in grandma’s kitchen.
Hawai’i
Last but not least, we’ve got to take you to Hawai’i! This popular booth is home to some returning favorites, including the Slow Roasted Pork Slider. This slider has changed names over the years, but it’s topped with sweet-and-sour DOLE Pineapple chutney and spicy mayonnaise, giving it a fun and tropical flavor.
In the past, it was known as the Kalua Pork Slider, so if you don’t see it on the menu this year, take note of the name change! It’s a nice savory treat for midway through your park day, and we’ve ordered it many a time.
That’s our list of items we always get at the Food & Wine Festival! For more guidance on how to conquer the festival like a pro, make sure to check out our DFB Guide to the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival! It’s available on the DFB Store.
