You never know when you might spot a celebrity or two in Disney World!
Stars, they’re just like us — and some of them love the Disney parks just as much as we do. We’ve been seeing more and more celebs make their way to the Most Magical Place on Earth and honestly, we don’t blame them! A popular actor and musician just visited Disney World and his favorite new ride makes a whole lot of sense.
TRON Lightcycle / Run is the newest roller coaster at Magic Kingdom and if you haven’t had the chance to enter the grid, what are you waiting for?! The ride is based on the TRON films and the story of the attraction picks up after the TRON: Legacy film. A NEW TRON movie, TRON: Ares, is in the works, and the film’s star just took a ride on a lightcycle for the first time!
Jared Leto, star of the upcoming film TRON: Ares, recently visited Magic Kingdom and went for a ride on TRON Lightcycle / Run! The actor and musician shared a video on his Instagram profile, in which he sang (okay, not literally) the praises of the new attraction.
In the caption of the post, Leto said, “PS this ride goes pretty hard has anyone tried it?” Uh, YES, Jared. We have tried it — and we love it, too!
In addition to Jared Leto, Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Hasan Minhaj, Jodie Turner-Smith, Arturo Castro, Cameron Monaghan, and Gillian Anderson have all signed on to be in TRON: Ares.
The film began production in January in Vancouver, and is slated for a 2025 theatrical release — so it looks like we’ll have to wait a bit longer to see Leto as the star of TRON: Ares.
The Disney sci-fi franchise films began in 1982 with Jeff Bridges starring in the first installment. The next movie (Tron: Legacy) was finished in 2010, starring Bridges, Garret Hedlund, and Olivia Wilde. The script for the new film is being written by Jesse Wigutow with Sean Bailey and Sam Dickerman as executive producers and Justin Springer, Leto, Jeffrey Silver, and Leto’s Paradox partner Emma Ludbrook as producers.
You just never know who might be walking around Disney World the next time you’re there! In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to Disney Food Blog for the latest news and updates about all things Disney parks and more.

Lloyd Bridges was right beside us in a ride queue once many years ago, and he starting playing with my young nephew. Twitching at his ear and hat, kind of teasing him.
