If you do your best theme parking late at night, there are plenty of ways to accomplish your goals long after dark. From holiday parties to Extended Evening Hours, we’ve spent plenty of late nights in the parks. And if that’s your plan, you’ll be happy to know that a popular event is returning for 2025!
It was announced that Disney After Hours events are returning to Disney World in 2025! These limited-ticket events are great for enjoying low crowds and low wait times at popular attractions.
After Hours at EPCOT
For 2025, you’ll be able to purchase tickets to attend this event at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios once again. You can enter the parks as early as 7PM and stay until 3 hours after park close — that’s plenty of hours of park time to accomplish your to-do list!

The events will kick off on January 6th at Magic Kingdom, January 22nd at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and February 27th at EPCOT. Magic Kingdom and EPCOT will have After Hours from 10PM-1AM, while Hollywood Studios will offer the event from 9:30PM-12:30AM (except for March 26th and April 1st, where Hollywood Studios will have the same hours as the other two).

If you’re hoping to attend, we’ve got the full list of dates for you! Here are the event dates for Hollywood Studios:
- January 22nd and 29th
- February 12th and 19th
- March 5th and 26th
- April 1st and 30th
- May 14th and 28th
- June 4th,11th, and 25th
- July 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th
- August 6th, 20th, and 27th
- September 3rd
Popcorn
At Magic Kingdom, you’ll be able to experience many of your favorite attractions, including TRON Lightcycle / Run and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, both available with a standby queue. Here’s the list of dates for that park:
- January 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th
- February 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 24th
- March 3rd, 17th, 24th, and 31st
- April 7th and 28th
- May 5th, 12th, and 19th
An empty Magic Kingdom during After Hours
And at EPCOT, you can attend Disney After Hours on the following dates:
- February 27th
- May 8th and 29th
- June 19th and 26th
- July 10th, 24th, and 31st
- August 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th
- September 11th and 25th
EPCOT After Hours are BACK for 2024!
Ticket prices for this event range from $175 to $185 (plus tax) for Magic Kingdom, $155 to $175 (plus tax) for EPCOT, and $155 to $185 (plus tax) for Hollywood Studios. Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members can get specially priced tickets for EPCOT After Hours and Hollywood Studios After Hours. If you’re staying at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, and Shades of Green, you can purchase tickets on September 4th. Everyone else can buy tickets on September 10th.
After Hours at EPCOT
Besides the short lines and low crowds, those attending Disney After Hours can also enjoy complimentary popcorn, ice cream novelties, and bottled beverages with their price of admission. Gotta stay fueled late at night!

Lightning individual and multi-pass would be a better value over after hrs. You don’t get much food. They spread them apart so you might be walking a while before you see one. We only got 1 popcorn, 1 drink and 1 ice cream.

What if you are staying at deluxe resorts? Do you get this perk still or do you have to purchase an additional ticket?
For the After Hours events, a ticket must be purchased to the event.
What are the select Walt Disney World resorts?
Basically the old $10 E Ride Nights, MK
Open til midnight every night in the summer then til 3:00 on E Ride Nights. All for just 10 bucks!!!!
Will this have any effect on the entertainment at the end of the night (i.e. fireworks) for those visiting during normal hours on these days?
I think we are going to try the After Hours at HS.
Do the restaurants close at the “normal” closing times (for example, 9 or 9:30 pm) when the park has an After Hours event?
We love Extended Evening Hours, and learned the hard way that the restaurants did not stay open (except for Yorkshire County Fish Shop, bless them).
A great perk you can pay an upcharge for, just like everything else at Disney
So, if I have my first night on my vacation planned for Epcot on one of these nights (arriving around 3), should I adjust and change my first park? Will it get super crowded at 7? Or will having LL and dinner reservations (staying at the Dolphin) be enough to override the crowd?
Hi E.B.! Most of the restaurants will be closed for the After Hours events with the exception of Woody’s Lunchbox, Milk Stand in Galaxy’s Edge, Anaheim Produce and some outdoor bars.
If visiting during regular hours, will they still have the fireworks show on these nights?

I remember when these extra hours were FREE for resort guests (“Extra Magic Hours”) before COVID ruined the world.
They didn’t have food & drink but you could ride things over and over.
They charge for everything now.
Hi Paige! Extra Magic Hours are still a thing as well as Extended Evening Hours for Deluxe guests. The After Hours events are separate ticketed events.
Do you have any idea what time we can get the tickets? At midnight or do we have to wait until 7AM?
It seems like purchasing lightning lanes would be a better value. But I’m sure I’m missing something here.
How is this a perk! The price is crazy. Decals if you already for the day at the parks. Used to be free for Disney deluxe hotel and dvc guests
Well, no thanks. Not a perk on top of all the other charges. DVC should figure this out for members.
I’ve done After Hours before at AK and MK Villains pre COVID when it was $99. I was debating then if it was worth it. I’m glad I did it, to walk through Pandora at night with few crowds was amazing. But they aren’t including AK now and with the price close to double, I wouldn’t do it.
With these prices, unless I’m there solo, I’d probably stay at a deluxe or Swan and do the extra magic hours at MK or EPCOT.
Gigi please explain. These After Dark Hours that begin at 7PM. Do people who pay full price for a day in the park have to leave the park early as is the case with the Not So Scary Halloween Party
As I understand it After Hours and Extra Magic Hours are 2 different things. One is free the other is the paid event. see DFB Gigi’s note above.
When are the extra magic hours that are free? That’s what I want to know. We will be there in April During Easter and I was looking forward to having these magical hours once again because of the crowds
What are the possibilities of them adding more dates?
If we have a reservation for a sit down table service restaurant earlier than 10, for example, 8 PM would we be able to enter the park earlier?

Hi Ron! The After Hours events do operate a lot like the parties with the exception that the parks close at their normal hours during After Hours events, despite guests with After Hours tickets being let in at 7pm.
