“HOT DOGS! Get your hot dogs here!”
Nope, we’re not talking about Casey’s Corner in Magic Kingdom or Dockside Diner at Hollywood Studios (at least, not right now). Disney World has a brand-new hot dog haven, and it’s popped up in a rather unexpected place… a Festival Marketplace Food Booth at the 2024 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival! That’s right. Flavors of Americais delivering an all-new menu to the Festival this year, with a focus on that classic American favorite: HOT DOGS! And there’s more in store, so let’s check it ALL out with our complete review!
Now, the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival is absolutely a destination for FOODIES. And when you think “foodies,” Hot Dogs may not be one of the dishes that first springs to mind. But who says that the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival can’t also deliver a few fun twists to nostalgic treats now and then? And if you LOVE hot dogs, then Flavors of America is THE place to be at the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival!
Menu
You’ll find Flavors of America tucked in the righthand area when facing The American Adventure pavilion. Four out of five food items on the menu are those aforementioned Dogs with various fixins as found in different states and regions around the country: a New York-style All Beef Hot Dog, a Chicago-style All Beef Hot Dog, a Carolina-style All Beef Hot Dog, and a Southwest-style All Beef Hot Dog. For something sweet to go along with them, you’ll find a Freshly-baked Chocolate Pudding Cake.
Beers from three American breweries are featured on the beverage menu: Wicked Weed Fest Bier, Goose Island Beer Co. Hazy Beer Hug Hazy IPA, and Brewery Ommegang Farm Fresh Ale. You can try them individually or opt to try all three in a Beer Flight.
And NOW, at last… it’s time to dig into some DOGS!
Eats
First up is the New York-style All Beef Hot Dog topped with sauerkraut, onion-tomato sauce, and spicy mustard in a brioche bun. It’s $6.75.
The New York-inspired hot dog was a surprise hit for us. While it sounds conceptually basic, the simplicity really hit for us. It was a quality hot dog, and was actually our favorite of the bunch.
Next we have the Chicago-style All Beef Hot Dog with tomato, dill pickle, pickled sport pepper, diced onions, yellow mustard, and Chicago green relish in a poppy seed bun for $6.75.
The story of the Chicago-style dog was the pickle. It dominated the dog’s flavor profile to the point where we couldn’t really taste anything else.
The Carolina-style All Beef Hot Dog is topped with chili, coleslaw, and yellow mustard in a brioche bun for $6.75.
This reminded us of a chilling cheese dog, minus the cheese. It’s not bad, but nothing special, either. The coleslaw and chili paired well.
And finally (as far as the hot dogs go), is the Southwest-style All Beef Hot Dog which is wrapped in bacon (!!!) with warm pinto beans, tomatoes, jalapeños, avocado crema, and queso fresco and served up in a French roll. This one is $7.25.
This dog was a valiant attempt to do something different; however, it didn’t really work for us. The flavor combination of the Southwest toppings worked on its own but didn’t mesh well with the hot dog.
How about some dessert? The Freshly-baked Chocolate Pudding Cake with bourbon caramel is also new this year, and comes in at $5.
This $5 dessert was our favorite dish from the booth! The cake was super-moist and gooey, and the chocolate was very light and airy. One word: YUM!
Also new at Flavors of America is THIS!

Drinks
Whew! I don’t know about you, but I could definitely use something to wash all that down… fortunately, there is a Flavors of America Beer Flight featuring THREE new brews: Wicked Weed Fest Bier (brewed in Asheville, North Carolina), Goose Island Beer Co. Hazy Beer Hug Hazy IPA (brewed in Chicago), and Brewery Ommegang Farm Fresh Ale (brewed in Cooperstown, New York).
The Flight is $10.25, or you can purchase any individually for $5.75 for 6 ounces or $9.75 for 12 ounces.
OVERALL
So, overall we’d probably put this booth somewhere in the middle. Nothing was bad. In fact, the hot dogs tasted like high-quality meat. However, none of the offerings were all that groundbreaking, either. In fact, outside of the dessert, there was arguably nothing worth going out of your way to find unless you’re a major hot dog fan.
