Disney World’s nighttime shows are some of our favorite forms of entertainment!
Disney does a great job of using visual elements such as fireworks, lasers, and projections combined with music to create an immersive storytelling experience. There has been a one-of-kind Disney World nighttime show happening this summer that fans have really enjoyed, but unfortunately, it’s last show is happening SOON.
Disney Dreams That Soar has been ongoing at Disney Springs since May 24th. It was the first drone show to come to Disney World and the first nighttime show at Disney Springs. It features 800 drones creating amazing images in the sky set to memorable Disney music.
Images like the Up house, the Star Wars Death Star, Peter Pan, Dumbo, and more light up the night sky. However, you only have one more night to see this magical event. The last shows for Disney Dreams That Soar is scheduled for September 2nd. There are two times available to catch the show, 9PM and 10:45PM.
There has been no word on other drone shows coming to Disney World at this point, but this one at Disney Springs has been popular! If you’re hoping to catch one of the last two shows, you may want to arrive early to save a good spot as it may be busy.
There are viewing areas roped off and some restaurants have great views. The official viewing area, though, is on the West Side of Disney Springs along the water between the Aerophile balloon and the Cirque du Soleil Theatre.
We’ve watched it from the top of the Coca-Cola building with a pretty good view! However, the show’s music will likely be muted here as the rooftop bar plays its own music.
The show also interacts with your MagicBand+, so come ready to see your band light up with the drones!
Hopefully, you got to catch this cool show or are able to view it for the last night at one of its last shows!

Unfortunately, we did not. We certainly tried. Getting to the viewing area was a horrible experience and we regretted being herded like cattle but there was no way to get out of our decision. We finally found a viewing spot and of course the show was a mess…drones not working, couldn’t make out the images, and no other option but to wait for it to be over. A person nearby was having a medical emergency and it was difficult to get help to them. It’s probably a good thing today is the last say. A nighttime show at Disney Springs is not a safe or practical choice.
