Disney Villains fans have another MAJOR park addition to look forward to soon!
Disney fans around the world roared with excitement when Disney announced a villain-themed land coming to Magic Kingdom and now we’ve got a second location confirmed for an attraction with Disney villains that will be in a completely different park!
Disney just dropped BIG news of a brand new attraction coming soon featuring the ultimate baddies — Disney Villains! In the tease for the attraction, Disney noted that parkgoers should anticipate a brand new show to debut at Hollywood Studios in the summer of 2025.
Disney is once again bringing even more live entertainment to the stage down Sunset Boulevard, where it aims to transform the current Sunset Showcase into the “mysterious, reflective realm of the Magic Mirror.” Disney went on to tease that the show will feature appearances from the likes of Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook, and Maleficent each “breaking through the glass” where they will take the stage to perform live!
If you’re looking to get an idea of where this new show will be located before it debuts, you can actually visit the current Sunset Showcase right now, but you’ll need to hurry. Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy which performs daily in this area will take its final lap on October 7th, 2024.
We’ll be on the lookout for even more updates as Disney releases them about this new land. Be sure to stay tuned with us for all the latest, right here at DFB!

I am not opposed to a new Villains land, since they are not closing down an existing area to build it. However, it does seem odd to me that Disney has made a point of shutting down or changing anything that can be considered “offensive” to some races, religions, or how people identify. With that being said, how is it, that a land dedicated to a woman that skinned dogs to make herself coats, hunters that kill innocent deer, carnival owners that “use” small animals (dumbo) or little boys (pinocchio) to make money at their expense, a selfish woman that made a prisoner of a young girl by locking her in a tower for half her life, a queen that was trying to poison a young girl, just because she was prettier, a wolf that wanted to eat a little girl and her grandmother, a queen that lopped off the heads of anyone that she didn’t like…..and the list goes on and on. Was there nothing considered that these things might offend animal rights activists, child protection agencies, poison control, the police, etc.. These stories and their villains depicted people being poisoned, killed, locked up and used for someone’s financial gain and a lot of things that some people did and do find offensive. So how is it that this is any different than putting up Tiana’s Bayou and taking down Splash Mountain? Or shutting down the shooting gallery because guns are violent? Or revamping Peter Pan’s Flight to include different scenes of the “Neverland Tribe”, due to it’s so-called offensive/racial stereotypes? This whole WOKE movement has served no purpose except to try to save Disney from becoming nothing more than a Six Flags Amusement Park in comparison to Universal. What they didn’t consider is that they stood alone. They didn’t need to make these changes. No one was complaining to them. This move was to draw in more people and make more money and in the end, they are putting themselves out of business. These were fairy tales. Good or bad, whatever anyone tries to read out of them, whatever “supposed racial overtones” they had, they were not real, they were fairy tails. And they made a wonderful, memory fill park for many people. But now they choose to ignore us. Our wishes, our desires, our begging not to change our parks, but to extend them and they need to add on, and they don’t care. They are all about trying to keep up with or surpass Universal and they’ve dug their grave doing it. This land won’t save them now. R.I.P. Disney

Not okay with this. They are taking away something that is fun and exciting for little kids and replacing it with something I cannot take my 2 year old grandson to. He loves Cars so much and we were so excited to take him in May of 2025 to see Lightening “in person” and now that joy that he would have had is gone! And just who is asking for all this villain stuff???

The world is changing and they’re changing with it. Get over it.

Glorifying and elevating people who exist for inflecting misery, death, etc is not what I want my children to imitate. You can tell children it’s not real, but the fact that grownups think it’s fun, sends another message.
