We have gotten a look at a lot of new concept art lately.
There are so many new additions coming to Disney World over the next few years, including eight new rides! Recent concept art and even models include a look into these new projects, like the Tropical Americas-themed land coming to Animal Kingdom, Pueblo Esperanza. We also have a few concept art photos for the latest Disney Villains land and Cars-themed land coming to Magic Kingdom. This is super exciting, but we have started to learn to take concept art with a grain of salt because, sometimes, concept art does not mimic the final product. We are looking at you, CommuniCore Hall!
It is not only Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom have new concept art, but Hollywood Studios has also. Soon, Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy will close to make way for a brand new Disney Villains stage show. But we can’t lie; while the stage show is a great new addition to the park, we are super excited about the new addition of Monsters Inc. Land coming to Hollywood Studios. While we were studying the concept art, we were baffled by what was in the photos.
Disney released a few concept art photos along with a model of the highly rumored and now finally confirmed Monsters Inc. door coaster. This rollercoaster will be Disney World’s first suspended coaster.
While this coaster news is super exciting and will be a great addition to Hollywood Studios, we are shocked that other details in the concept art are not being highlighted.
The concept art photo above shows the potential exterior for the door coaster. It seems that the ride’s queue will be housed inside the actual Monster’s Inc. building. This picture mainly just highlights the exterior of the ride, but something caught our eye to the left of the photo.
Eye Spy (get it) is a very famous eye from Monster’s Inc.. No, we are not talking about Mike’s eye, but instead the eye from Harryhausen’s! Then, when we looked at the second piece of concept art, we noticed it has more details of the new land and shows Harryhausen’s on the right side of the Monster’s Inc. building. It is no big deal that it moved sides, but instead, it gives us hope that between these two different pieces of concept art, Harryhausen’s is included in both!
We are honestly baffled that Disney has yet to confirm if a Harryhausen’s restaurant will be making its way to this new area of the park. This spot would be great as a quick service or even a table service restaurant. We just really hope that this stays part of the actual building of the land, but we will just have to wait and see since the only confirmed part of the land is the door coaster. We still do not even have a location for the Monsters Inc. Land (we are selfishly hoping it does not take over the Muppet’s Courtyard.)
Search Traffic for Monsters, Inc. Land Has Nearly TRIPLED Since Disney’s Big News Drop
We will continue to monitor any news about this new land and hope that Disney starts to confirm more details of what will be included in this new part of the park. Until then, keep following along with Disney Food Blog for more Disney news, tips, and updates!
