Is there anything better for a foodie than the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival?
I mean, truly, all the food booths, the merch, and all the rest has had us wanting to do nothing but dine around the world showcase on repeat. And to prove it, let’s talk about the amount we spent and what we noticed!
As we were saying, when you’ve got a list of things you want to try from the 2024 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival as long as our arm, and things can add up rather quickly, so let’s talk about how much we spent and ultimately what we noticed!
Let’s rip the bandage right off. This year was expensive. We ended up dropping a cool $828.41 on all the festival booths, and it wasn’t just to indulge. We set out on a mission to see if the food and overall experience could live up to the hype (and price tag). Spoiler alert — we were pleasantly surprised!
Breaking Down the Cost
First things first, yes, $816.41 sounds like a lot, but it’s Disney World, and the festival is all about those small plates and drinks, so the costs add up quickly.
Here’s a rough breakdown of how we spent our cash:
Food: Around $461 went to all the delicious bites we tried. From Grilled Bushberry Spiced Shrimp Skewer with sweet-and-sour vegetables and coconut chili sauce in Australia to Slow-roasted Pork Slider with sweet-and-sour DOLE Pineapple chutney and spicy mayonnaise in Hawai’i, the quallity and variety was insane.
Drinks: Naturally, the Food & Wine Festival isn’t just about food. We also spent about $366 on drinks. From Mango Peach Bubble Tea in China to the Coppertail Brewing Fallen Fruit Blueberry Pie Hard Cider from Milled and Mulled, there were some great options. We tried to pace ourselves, but when in EPCOT, right?
About the Food and Drink
Here’s the thing, the Food & Wine festival food and drink can be hit or miss, but this year, it was mostly hits. To be sure, not everything was perfect, though.
Some dishes felt a bit overpriced for what they were and some booths had longer waits than we expected. You can check out our festival video right here!
The Bottom Line
So, was spending almost $830 at Disney World’s Food & Wine Festival worth it? Well for us, honestly, yeah. It was a foodie adventure that overall lived up to our expectations — but it’s our job to bring you reviews on everything, and that spending was spread out over multiple reporters. Our main tip for you is to make sure you budget, pace yourself, and wear those comfy shoes! I mean, you really can’t beat getting to try fantastic dishes and drinks from around the world all in a single afternoon.

For the average person, I would recommend getting a gift card with a set budget. Epcot has cards with a stretchy bracelet. Epcot failed in the department of providing chairs and table (I know, isn’t that common sense? apparently, not). Trashcan table time or sitting on the concrete border of some bushes might be your dining seating options. Enjoy, stay away from Italy!

I use to love getting the dining plan and saving all our snack credits to use for the festival. It was a great way to graze your way around for less money.

ONE person? A family? A DOZEN? While I LOVE statistics, this doesn’t help me to plan without some context as to how many people were able to eat for this amount of money. AND…was it just in one day?

Hi Patrick. This was how much we spent as a team at the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival to try as much as we possibly could. We have a video of everything we ate and drank if you’d like to see it broken down that way here.

You still didn’t answer Patrick’s question.
How many people are on your team, and over what period of time was the $830 spent?
I don’t have an unlimited data plan to be viewing every video out there.
Please give more written details!!
Thanks.

Hi Julie! It’s going to be different for everyone. We had roughly 5-6 reporters on site from 8a-5p, but at the same time we were filming videos, taking pictures, posting content, communicating with our team, etc. so the breakdown of time for our team won’t be relative for the average park goer no matter how big or small their group might be. It’s all going to depend on how you spend your time, how much or how little you choose to eat, and if you have picky eaters among numerous other factors. We have full breakdowns of every item and the cost of each item in our DFB Food & Wine Festival Guide 2024 that you can purchase here.

Daughter and I were there Tuesday. We love deciding what we want to try. Happy with the prices and everything we tried was delicious. Of course we can only eat so much. Desserts, just disappoint and alot of that is heat, humidity and mass production. For example, creme Brule was not “firm” cold and the custard was gritty. Otherwise, they really hit the mark this year. (Wish I could try everything).
