By now, a lot of us have likely processed all the exciting news we got from D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in August.

We know that Villains Land is on its way to Magic Kingdom and it was recently announced that a new Villains show is coming to where Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy is currently in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. But one of the other announcements we’re really excited about is the new Monsters Inc. land coming to Hollywood Studios! While we still don’t know where exactly this land will be yet, we feel like we need to focus on something real quick that a lot of people are missing.
We’ve talked about the new suspended coaster, Disney’s first, coming to the new land and yes, it’s very cool and we can’t wait to experience it, but it’s time to focus on something smaller right now.

We want to talk about some of the small details we’ve noticed in this concept art. We recently pointed out a really cool Sully-themed slide close to the main attraction that we think is super adorable.

And we do know that HarryHausen’s, the iconic restaurant from the film, is getting some representation as well!

Everything looks so fun and colorful, but wait, speaking of food, we need to talk about these ICE CREAM CONES! These are full-on Monsters-inspired ice cream concoctions and we are going to be SO thrilled if these genuinely come to life.

THEY LOOK SO GOOD! They’ve got edible eyes and cherries and mini cones for hats, and it looks like you can get a blue scoop that looks like Sully and a green scoop that (kinda? If you squint?) looks like Mike Wazowski! We can’t wait to hear about the ice cream shop that these will most likely come from. Construction on the land isn’t set to begin until 2026, so we know we’re supposed to be patient, Disney, but this is HARD!
