What’s this? What’s this? It’s Halloween. Yep, Halloween season is officially here.
Okay, so technically, Halloween started in August with the first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Magic Kingdom. But we’re only a few weeks from October, which means it’s starting to feel even MORE like spooky season. If you’d like to celebrate all things Halloween, you’ll want to head to your local movie theater in October. Why? Because two Disney Halloween CLASSICS will be returning to the big screen.
For a limited time, you’ll soon be able to catch both Hocus Pocus (amuck, amuck, amuck!) and The Nightmare Before Christmas (simply meant to be…) in movie theaters! Hocus Pocus will be making its GLORIOUS return to theaters on October 18th. Yep, the sisters are BACK and ready to put a spell on you all over again.
In addition, The Nightmare Before Christmas will be arriving back in theaters on October 11th. Re-live the story of the Pumpkin King as he discovers the joys of Christmas for the first time. This one is technically a Halloween AND Christmas movie, so now is the PERFECT time to catch it on the silver screen again.
You’ll want to check with your local theater for showtimes. If, for some reason, these movies aren’t playing anywhere near you, you can always have your own Halloween watch party at home because they’re also both available on Disney+. Yes, we just recently re-watched both on streaming and we’ll do it again soon!
Looking for other fun spooky things to watch on Disney+? Don’t forget you can watch every Halloweentown movie, as well as all the Halloween episodes of The Simpsons, and many other spooky shows and movies on the streaming service. Happy Halloween!

Extremely disappointing Disney never released Hocus Pocus 2 (or Tom Hanks in Pinocchio) to theaters…..
