Alright, check the couch cushions. You’re gonna need every penny to afford this dream home.
Disney lost a Legend when former Walt Disney Attractions chairman Dick Nunis died in December 2023 at the age of 91. The Disney Legend began his career at Disneyland in 1955 and helped develop the Walt Disney World Resort, eventually becoming. Nearly a year after his death, Nunis’ Orlando-area home has been listed and to say it’s incredible is an understatement.
Nunis climbed the Disney ranks over the decades, eventually becoming the president of the Outdoor Recreation Division for Disney World. He also consulted on plans for Euro Disneyland and Tokyo Disneyland, building quite an illustrious career. Nunis’ home, which was constructed in 1991 in Windermere, Florida is just as illustrious — which explains its 10 million dollar price tag.
Nunis was inspired by the Disney animated film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and modeled the home after the movie. He named it Puesta del Sol and, wow, is it a beauty.
Let’s take a tour of the home! Per Puesta del Sol’s official listing, the house is located on the shores of the Butler Chain of Lakes, equipped with sunset views from many terraces.
The home was influenced by the Art Nouveau Movement and has been host to several distinguished guests. It features a “grand porte cochere entry” rich with many Disney influences and touches within the granite, marble, wood, stone, and iron finishes.
The property includes 75 individual works by 12 artists including “timeless furnishings and collected antiques [that] blend with original stained-glass windows, hand carved doors and sculpted light fixtures.”
Featuring a living room with a 26-foot-tall ceiling, a painting of Yosemite National Park painted in 1933 by Maurice del Meu hanging over the Coquina and French limestone fireplace, and a large home theater with a photo of Walt Disney on the wall, this home is the definition of the word “lavish”.
We can’t overlook the gorgeous 750-square-foot pool!
The pool includes a rainbow bridge in addition to a swim-up-bar with underwater bar stools.
Of course, the property also includes a steam room, sauna, wine cellar, an elevator that connects to an underground garage that can accommodate five cars, and a game room with a Toplinos bar with a copper cappuccino maker topped with Mickey ears.
There’s also a boathouse that allows access to the 13 interconnecting lakes of Butler Chain.
Let’s get into the nitty gritty now. The primary suite comes with double doors that open to a balcony overlooking the living room and another opening to a private terrace.
In total, there are an astounding NINE full bathrooms and two half-baths…
And five bedrooms…
Which all vary in size and can accommodate several different living situations.
With 11 total rooms, the possibilities are nearly endless.
We can’t forget the kitchen and dining rooms! The kitchen comes with tons of appliances and is absolutely stunning.
Meanwhile, the dining room is pretty sizeable and looks like something straight out of a Disney movie.
Featuring the Disney touch in its art and design all over the property Puesta del Sol should be the dream home for any hardcore Disney fan, as it was the much-missed Nunis. Boasting a great balance between personal touches and over-the-top extravagance, this home looks worth the $10,000,000 price tag.

I don’t care what he did for Disney, this is over the top. Disney price gouges families for their tired parks, so that their head executives can live like this? Motivates me to never return and contribute a dime to these executives’ lifestyle.
