I’m back again with another round of WHAT’S NEW UPDATES AT DISNEY WORLD, a rundown on all the epic news and updates that happened at Disney World this past week. This week, we got the 4-1-1 on a fan-favorite character coming to EPCOT, a Disney Springs store finally reopening after a month-long closure, and a popular special ticketed event getting completely sold out! CONFIRMED: A Fan-Favorite Character Is Dancing His Way to EPCOT

Were you in EPCOT on September 21st?

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind was celebrating the special day with some Earth, Wind, & Fire by blaring ‘September’ through the ride all day long! It was a fun way to celebrate one of Star-Lord’s (a.k.a. Peter Quill) favorite songs from his childhood cassette tapes. Speaking of Star-Lord, if you love Guardians of the Galaxy, you might be excited about this new Disney announcement!

Peter Quill left Earth as a young boy and spent his days in space. However, his parents took him to EPCOT a long time ago, and the park has always had a special place in his heart. So he has decided to come BACK! Get ready to meet Star-Lord in EPCOT starting September 29th.

He’s dancing his way to reunite with the EPCOT Terrans, and we’re SO excited to meet him! The video shows Star-Lord jamming out all around EPCOT, so we may see him roaming or he might be located at the “Wonders of Xandar pavilion” (a.k.a. near Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind).

Disney didn’t share if this is a formal meet-and-greet, but if it is you might want to prepare for a dance off!

NEWS: Disney Springs Store FINALLY Reopens After Month-Long Closure!

We have great news from Disney Springs!

Disney Springs has had a recent trend of stores closing for refurbishment. However, some of them end up closing for good only to have other stores take their place. We’ve been really worried about the future of this sweet treat spot, as its reopening timeline has shifted multiple times over the past few weeks, but we’re happy to report that it’s FINALLY back open!

Candy Cauldron is a candy store located in Disney Springs that closed for refurbishment back in August. After seeing it change its reopening date from September 18th, to the 20th, to the 27th, and then finally the 24th, we were really concerned at what was going on here. So imagine our surprise when we saw it OPEN this afternoon!

That’s right, the Candy Cauldron is back open in Disney Springs and still has all of your favorite packaged and fresh-made treats ready to go.

This is a great place to grab candy apples, those infamous Disney gummies, and so much more.

If you’re a fan of Snow White, you’ll really want to stop in here, because there are so many offerings themed to the story.

Including a giant statue of the Evil Queen in her disguise!

We love walking by here and smelling all the delicious treats, but we will be honest — nothing appears to have drastically changed in the storefront from this refurbishment. We’re assuming a lot more work happening in the Cast Member-only area of the store since we can’t see a lot of change from out front. BUT we do know that Frozen Glaciers are now on the menu when they weren’t before, and there are tons of exciting Halloween offerings available in the bakery case, which we love.

We’re glad to see this beloved shop is back to being open for business!

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Is COMPLETELY Sold Out in Disney World

Happy Halloween, everyone! It’s been Halloween in Disney World since August, and we’ve been enjoying all the spookiness in the parks.

Of course, we’re most excited about all the fall and Halloween snacks that get released this time of year, but we especially love this season in Magic Kingdom, which gets all decorated for the season. There’s also Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party to look forward to, but if you’ve been planning on going and put off getting tickets, we’ve got some bad news: EVERY single Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party date is now sold out for 2024.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a separate ticketed event that happens on select nights in Magic Kingdom from August 12th through October 31st. On those nights, Magic Kingdom closes early and only those with a ticket to the party are allowed to enter to enjoy exclusive entertainment, food, merchandise, and more. It’s also the only time adults can wear costumes into the park (given certain rules, of course). There’s even trick-or-treating at designated treat trails.

However, if you were planning to attend the party this year and don’t yet have tickets, you will not be able to buy tickets because every single date has officially sold out. We recently checked out the Special Events Tickets page on the Disney World website and scrolled down to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party to see that it was listed as Sold Out.

This is why we always tell you to get those tickets early for special events. Note that you can still buy tickets for Jollywood Nights and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, so if those are in your upcoming plans in Disney World, it’s best to grab them now before it’s too late.

That’s not to say that you can’t still enjoy Halloween in Disney World. You can still check out the spooky decor in Magic Kingdom and enjoy all the fall and Halloween treats that are currently available in the parks, at the hotels, and in Disney Springs.
