Not EVERY day in Disney World can be perfect, and that’s fine.
Sometimes, the weather just won’t behave. It can be too hot, too cold (YES, it happens), or it could be rainy (especially during hurricane season). Sometimes, rides close due to weather. Sometimes, rides just close for other reasons. Sometimes, you’re ON a ride when it closes, and you have to be evacuated from that ride. Well, that happened to us recently on two different rides ON THE SAME DAY.
We recently visited Magic Kingdom and just wanted to ride a few of our favorite rides, but the universe had a different idea. First, we got on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, Magic Kingdom’s NEWEST ride. We were all set to go down the bayou with Tiana and her friends, but then, all of a sudden, the ride stopped, and we were evacuated. Okay, fine, it happens.
But then we got on Pirates of the Caribbean. You know, Yo Ho, Yo Ho, A Pirate’s Life For Me! Spoiler Alert: it was NOT a pirate’s life for us because that ride stopped, and we had to evacuate that one, too. REALLY?! Two rides in one day seems a little…well…excessive, don’t you think?
It was a day of evacuations for us in Magic Kingdom today! First Pirates and then Tiana’s 😮💨 pic.twitter.com/bxZeY3FL8W

Of course, we didn’t let the ride evacuations spoil our day, and we took the opportunity to take in some details on those rides we might not have noticed otherwise because when life gives you lemons, you might as well make lemonade (okay, technically, we’d go get a Dole Whip, but you see what we mean). So now you know what it’s like to be evacuated from two rides in one day. It’s an…adventure…to say the least.

We were evacuated from both Spaceship Earth AND Living With the Land on the same day! We were fortunate to have a Cast Member who went out of his way to take care of us that day.

The frequency of issues with Tiana is pathetic. The attraction was closed for what 18 months for the new overlay? It seems like they failed to address much mechanically with the attraction. Perhaps it’s a curse that Brer Rabbit left.

I was just evacuated off kali river rapids where we were going up the incline cast members were trying to figure out how to evacuate us but were great gave us water bottles and eventually got us off.
