French fry and foodie fanatics are in for a real treat at Disney World very soon!
It’s our goal to try every Disney snack, pick up special recipes, and deliver you all kinds of foodie news, so you can bet we’re always monitoring Disney World’s ever-changing food offerings, such as new specialty fries. In fact, Disney World just announced TONS of new fries coming to the resort and we can’t wait to share all the details!
Beginning October 9th, 2024, the Disney World Resort will roll out SEVEN BRAND-NEW french fry dishes! According to Disney, these snacks are “packed with flavor, from the savory to the sweet.”
Let’s start with the Buffalo Fries that will be served at Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ ABC Commissary, Backlot Express, and Rosie’s All-American Cafe. These french fries kick the spice levels up a bit and are seasoned in ranch and drizzled with buffalo-ranch sauce and blue cheese dressing.
In a big review of ABC Commissary earlier this year, we were kind of disappointed with the steak fries they served so we’re pretty happy that more fry options are quite literally on the table!
Next up are the Street Corn Fries at Intermission Food Court, End Zone Food Court, Riverside Mill Food Court, and Everything POP Shopping & Dining! This snack is topped with roasted corn relish, cotija cheese, and cilantro-lime crema.
We recently tried the Chipotle Barbecue Pork and Street Corn French Fries at Casey’s Corner in Magic Kingdom and while these were made with slightly different ingredients than the new Street Corn Fries (fire-roasted corn, queso fresco, and cilantro), we found them to be very yummy so we have high expectations for this new snack!
The corn-fry theme keeps on flowing with the A-Maize-Ing Magic Munch Fries coming to Flame Tree Barbecue and Restaurantosaurus at Animal Kingdom! These french fries are topped with sweet corn, chipotle mayonnaise, chili-lime-spiced cotija cheese, and popcorn.
It’s no surprise that we’re MAJOR fans of the French Fries with Pulled Pork and Cheese at Flame Tree Barbecue. As history has shown, these fries are not always safe to remain on the menu so we’re hoping this new offering doesn’t boot them off again. Trust us, we’ll be watching Flame Tree like a Hawk in the upcoming weeks to lookout for possible menu changes. Fingers crossed that we don’t get our hearts broken again…
Cuban Fries are also coming to Disney World food courts. These fries are seasoned and topped with mustard, Swiss cheese sauce, ham, and pickles. They will be available at Centertown Market, Landscape of Flavors, World Premiere Food Court, and Sassagoula Floatworks & Food Factory.
We’ve had our qualms about Disney World food courts and recently had a pretty middling response to Sassagoula Floatworks & Food Factory. These dining locations could definitely use something to liven them up and we’re so glad they’re taking the
Next up, you’ll want to head over to Regal Eagle Smokehouse in EPCOT for the new BBQ Fries! These fries are seasoned and topped with coleslaw, sweet BBQ sauce, and ketchup aïoli.
Not a day goes by that we don’t miss Regal Eagle’s Loaded Burnt End Fries. These fan favorites temporarily returned over the summer and were truly a limited offering, unfortunately. Made with burnt ends, macaroni & cheese, and beer-battered onion rings, we’re drooling just thinking about them. Does Regal Eagle offering BBQ Fries mean they’re bringing back these specialty fries soon? Are we just wishful thinking? Either way, Disney, hear our pleas and bring these beauties back fulltime!
These next fries might be the most interesting of the bunch — dessert fries! New Strawberry Chocolate Fries will be available at Mr. Kamal’s in Animal Kingdom and Primo Piatto at Disney’s Riviera Resort. This treat features cinnamon-sugar-dusted french fries topped with chocolate ganache, strawberries, and honey cream cheese.
Mr. Kamal’s french fry situation is an interesting one. This stand sells seasoned fries with dips but has been cutting back on the dip options over the last several years. Right now we’ve seen fries limited to a Sriracha Mayonnaise sauce but there have been multiple options in the past such as Curried Honey Mustard and Korean Chili Ketchup. Is this going to change? Could we be getting more options again? Will these new fries be a permanent replacement? Time will tell.
Finally, if you’re looking for a fry dish with some pretty sophisticated flavors, you’ll want to check out the new Black Garlic, Truffle, and Parmesan Fries at Magic Kingdom’s Columbia Harbour House, Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe, and Pinocchio Village Haus. This new snack is also coming to Connections Eatery in EPCOT. It’s made with black garlic-truffle aïoli and parmesan cheese.
Over at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Enchanted Rose Bar and Lounge has amazing House-made Truffle Fries that are served with shaved black truffles and 18-month-aged parmesan. In our opinion, these are some of the best fries in all of Disney World and if these new fries with similar ingredients come even close in quality, we’ll be happy Mouseketeers!
