Airline travel is always an experience, whether that’s for better or for worse.
Luckily, there are some things you can do to make airline travel a little bit easier on yourself — and TSA PreCheck is one of them. This paid program allows select individuals to bypass the regular Transportation Security Administration lines at the airport when flying on certain airlines — and two more airlines have just been added to the list!
Good news, travelers! TSA PreCheck has added two more airlines to the near-100 that already participate in the program. Starting now, passengers who are traveling on Caribbean Airlines and RED Air can use TSA PreCheck to bypass the regular security lines at the airport.
Caribbean Airlines primarily flies to Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Antigua and Barbuda; the Bahamas; Barbados; Caracas, Venezuela; Cuba; Curaçao; and the Dominican Republic. RED Air is a budget airline that travels between the Dominican Republic; Venezuela; and Miami, Florida.
If you’re not already enrolled in TSA PreCheck, it’s easy to do! Just visit tsa.gov/precheck and choose an enrollment provider and submit the pre-enrollment portion of the application. From there, you’ll have to complete an in-person enrollment at your chosen provider, which includes fingerprinting, document and photo capture, and payment. As of publishing, TSA PreCheck costs $77.95 through CLEAR, $78 through Idemia, or $85 through Telos for a five-year membership.
