Some truly exciting new additions are coming to Disney World!
Magic Kingdom
From a Monsters, Inc.-themed land at Hollywood Studios to new Cars attractions in Frontierland, there’s going to be so much to explore! Disney has many major projects planned for the coming years, but perhaps the one that has fans the most excited is the new Villains Land coming to Magic Kingdom.
Villains Land is a concept that fans have been asking about for YEARS, and now it’s finally underway! The expansion to Magic Kingdom will be located behind Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and the concept art looks pretty incredible.

Disney has shared that the land will be home to two major attractions, along with shopping and dining. They haven’t shared details on what those attractions will be, but the concept art reveals some roller coaster-like elements. In fact, there are TWO different sections of the concept art that look like roller coasters!

The first section of concept art that looks like a roller coaster is located in the bottom middle of the artist rendering. Beneath the main walkway, there’s a cavern-like area with waterfalls that a ride vehicle is zooming through. We can even see that the track appears to wind around and loop through the cavern twice.

However, there’s also a piece of ride track near the upper left corner of the concept art. This section is decorated with thorns and looks like it will feature some sharp curves…and maybe an inversion? It’s a completely different color scheme and general vibe than the other section of track, which leads us to wonder if these are two separate rides.

Ultimately, we won’t know for sure about the attractions until Disney announces more details about the land. The concept art also features a Maleficent-inspired section and a spooky castle, so it’s possible that attractions could be located in either of those areas instead.

Construction for this new addition is set to begin in 2025, and we can’t wait to watch it progress! This will likely draw lots of guests to the theme park when it opens, so start planning those trips now.
