After a long day in the parks, you may be starving.
Quick-service food courts at some resorts used to be open super late, some even 24 hours a day, but now, for the most part, the latest these restaurants stay open is 11 PM. Still, 11 PM is late and gives you enough time to make it back to your resort for a late-night dinner. We recently stayed at Port Orleans, and we still think they have one of the best late-night dinners at Disney World.
Port Orleans is split into two resorts, Port Orleans – French Quarter and Port Orleans – Riverside. At the French Quarter, you will find all things Mardi Gras, and this resort is even home to the iconic Mickey Beignets. It is worth a visit to the resort for the beignets alone!
Over at Riverside, this resort takes inspiration from the white-column mansions of Magnolia Bend in Louisiana. Both resorts are Moderate Resorts, and you can quickly go between them by taking a short walk along the Sassagoula River.
The good news? One of our favorite late-night meals can be found at both resorts!
At Riverside, you can dine at Riverside Mill, and at French Quarter, you will find Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory. Both of these locations are home to their specialty offering, Jambalaya. This meal is so good! For $12.49, it comes with chicken and Andouille sausage, vegetables cooked in a rich, spicy sauce, and rice. It even comes with a yummy chunk of cornbread.
This meal is delicious comfort food, and we got it every single night during our three-night stay at the resort. We would come back from already eating dinner and still pick it up as a late-night meal because it is just THAT GOOD.
Even if you are not staying at either of the resorts, we recommend taking a trip over for some Jambalaya and finishing your meal off with some Mickey Beignets. You can also Mobile Order from both food courts making it easy to pick up your food and even have it ordered in advance!
Both of these resorts are a great value to stay at during your vacation to Disney World as the rooms at Riverside were recently refurbished with Princess and the Frog theming. Even more recently the rooms at French Quarter were also refurbished and now also include Princess and the Frog theming.
We will be dreaming about the Jambalaya from Port Orleans and we can’t wait to get it again! As always, keep following along with Disney Food Blog to stay up to date on all the latest Disney news and tricks!

We love ordering pizza from Flipper’s, if we’re up for going to or waiting up at the lobby area for it (we have stayed at the FW Cabins for our last several stays, so Disney pizza delivery was not an option). If it’s not too out of the way, McDonald’s can also be a great choice – if everyone else in the resort didn’t have the same idea lol! But one of the reasons we love the cabins is if we come home from the parks hungry, or stay up too late and we’re hungry again, we can fix food or heat up leftovers right there in our room.

I got the jambalaya once at French Quarter and even though it was good, it was dry, as if it had been sitting out under the hot lamps all day.
