I’m back again with another round of WHAT’S NEW UPDATES AT DISNEY WORLD, a rundown on all the epic news and updates that happened at Disney World this past week. This week, we got the 4-1-1 on NEW hotel discounts, a NEW pop-up shop at Disney Springs, and A park attraction closing PERMANENTLY next week. Let’s check it out!

CONFIRMED: 4 NEW Hotel Discounts Announced for Disney World

Starting on Tuesday, October 1st, 2024, Disney is offering hotel and ticket packages that can save you up to $200 per night! This Stay, Play, and Save deal may be applied to stays at select Disney World resort hotels for 3-night, 2-day room and ticket packages.

You can get these savings for packages from February 26th through June 30th, 2025, for rooms and tickets.

You can save $200 per night at the following hotels on most nights:

Up to 25% Disney World Hotel Discount

In early 2025, you can get up to 25% off of your hotel room. This deal is available to book now and we highly recommend reaching out to Small World Vacations to book your trip. They are travel agents with years of experience and their services are totally free!

Here’s the breakdown of the deal:

• Save up to 25% on rooms for stays most nights from February 23rd to April 30th, 2025

If that all wasn’t enough for you, starting in January 2025, a brand new perk will be offered to all Disney World hotel guests — a ticket to one of Disney World’s water parks to be used on the day of check-in! In recent years, only one water park has been open at a time. Since Blizzard Beach will be opening on November 4th, 2024, Typhoon Lagoon will be closing, so for the first part of 2025, you can expect to visit Blizzard Beach on your first day at Disney World.

NEW Disney World Discount Announced for 2025

A Harry Styles pop-up featuring his brand Pleasing opened up at Disney Springs last Saturday, and the excitement was shared with many fans, including us! And if you’re curious as to what this pop-up shop looked like, we’ve got you covered with a look inside.

Pleasing is a beauty and lifestyle brand created by English singer-songwriter Harry Styles (ignore the squeals in the distance, as that is from most of us here at the DFB team). It specializes in nail and skin care as well as apparel and accessories. The trendy brand has collaborated with Disney to create a line inspired by the classic film FANTASIA, and pop-up shops have opened in Disney Springs as well as at the Houston Galleria in Houston, TX.

The Pleasing pop-up shop is located inside the former NBA Experience gift shop. On the first day of the shop’s opening, which was Saturday, September 28th, the lines were truly outrageous, with a wait expected to be 5 hours.

Stepping inside the shop immediately transported us into the world of Pleasing x FANTASIA, with whimsical decor and furnishings straight from the film and the creative mind of Harry Styles. From the floor to the display shelves, there are so many details to take in. But of course, this is a store selling merch, so the products are just as important, and thankfully, they did not disappoint.

The shop features skin care products, such as Hand & Nail Balm and Lip Balm. The packaging showcases artwork inspired by FANTASIA as well as having products available in their regular packaging as well.

Apparel also stocks the shelves of this shop, with FANTASIA-themed crew necks, hoodies, t-shirts, and more.

You’ll find items such as this FANTASIA x Pleasing Sorcerer Mickey sweatshirt…

…and these FANTASIA x Pleasing sweatpants.

Other items are also available to shop from this collection, such as this exclusive journal.

As well as stylish tote bags.

Aside from merchandise, the shop also has a small theatre where you can watch clips of FANTASIA! A great way to get you in the mood for all the collection has to offer.

This pop-up shop is a great addition to Disney Springs, and we love how it occupies a space that was once left empty. This pop-up shop will remain open at Disney Springs until October 27. And if you’re hoping to shop a piece from the collection, items will be available to purchase online at both The Pleasing and The Disney Store websites starting October 4th.

6 BIG Closures Have Hit Disney Springs

HEADS UP! A Disney’s Hollywood Studios Attraction Closes PERMANENTLY Next Week

At D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, we got a ton of news about new offerings coming to all four parks. Magic Kingdom will be getting two new Cars-themed attractions, and they will go in the current place of Tom Sawyer Island and the Rivers of America. Villains Land is also finally becoming a reality and will be built just “Beyond Big Thunder Mountain.” Animal Kingdom will get four new attractions, three in Pueblo Esperanza (the Tropical Americas-themed land), and Zootopia: Better Zoogether! will be a brand new show in the Tree of Life. EPCOT has ongoing construction at Test Track as the ride will open in its third version next year. Now, it is finally time for Hollywood Studios to start work next week. It was announced that the park would be home to a Monsters Inc.-themed land, but there was another announcement that came shortly after D23 wrapped up.

While it was not announced at D23, Hollywood Studios will get a brand new Disney Villains stage show! This new show will be hosted in the current building for Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy.

When the new Disney Villains Show was revealed, it was announced that Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy would permanently close on October 7th. This date seemed so far away but it is NEXT WEEK!

That means you only have a few more days to learn how to race with Lightning McQueen!

But don’t worry, it won’t be too long before we see Lightning and all his friends as they will be relocated to Frontierland in Magic Kingdom when the new Cars expansion opens. While there is no opening date for the expansion and no closing date for Tom Sawyer Island and the Rivers of America, construction permits have already started to be filed.

So race fans, remember if you want to visit Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy one last time, you must do so before it closes on October 7th!
