We’re willing to bet you’re walking right past one of the best parts of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and you’re not even realizing it!
We’re on a mission to tell you about some of the grossly underrated Disney World lounges in the parks AND hotels, and we’re telling you, it doesn’t get much more immersive than this one!
If you’re not quite ready for your vacation to come to a close just yet and find yourself wishing for time to stand still, we know your next move! The Tune-In Lounge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is one of those little hole-in-the-wall joints that you’ve got to know you’re looking for, or you’ll miss it!
This gem of a lounge is where you can roll back the clock and soak in some laid-back fun in a 1950s-themed setting. You’ll find this place between its two neighboring restaurants, Hollywood & Vine and the 50’s Prime Time Cafe, right around the backside of Echo Lake.
Atmosphere
Once you step through the threshold of the Tune-In Lounge, you might be left scratching your head a bit, but just hang tight with us as we explain. This lounge is like walking right into your own home around the 1950s era and heading straight for the basement lounge. It’s completely decked out in retro decor to help you really get a feel for what it was like walking through the door in the ’50s!
As you enter, you’ll notice a small seating area on your left-hand side. There’s even a cute little coffee table to set your drinks on (but don’t forget to ask for a napkin to keep from getting rings on the furniture!
Looking at the walls, you’ll be able to pick out period appropriate clocks, books filling the bookshelf, and even an old black and white T.V. in the corner to watch some of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse gang and a few sitcoms!
To your right of the entrance, there’s another seating area that closely resembles something like a living room set up with similar seating and a table. Check out those figurines fixed to the wall!
Adjacent from it, you’ll find a few more padded seats to claim as they empty, and just behind it, you’ll hear the Cast Members working the 50’s Prime Time Cafe restaurant welcoming in their own set of diners.
But we haven’t even gotten to the main attraction yet — the bar! Yes, this lounge comes fully stocked, and it’s made quite a name for itself with namesake cocktails and even a few mixed drinks to satisfy the whole family!
Did you happen to notice the mirrors behind the bar and all the stacked T.V.s on top? If not, make sure you look around at them on your next visit.
Menu
The menu here is a tiny but mighty little fella, but it’s known to pack a punch or two if you know what to order! The menu you can scope out at the bar will show the lounge’s selection of specialty cocktails on one side…
…as well as the wine and beer options on the backside.
Did you happen to see a few that stood out to you, too? Good, because that’s what we’re probably getting ready to order this visit!
Drinks
For this visit, we knew from the moment we walked in exactly what we were after, and of course, the lounge was happy to oblige. We ordered the Tune-In PB&J Cocktail and Grandma’s Picnic Punch for good measure.
Let’s start things off by talking about that namesake drink, The Tune-In PB&J Cocktail. This drink is made of Skrewball peanut butter whiskey, Bols blackberry brandy, and Bailey’s Irish cream liqueur topped with a maraschino cherry and will cost you $16.
Oooooh, this is an oldie but a GOODIE! You’ve really gotta know what you’re doing flavor-wise for an establishment to literally put their entire name to you as a drink, and this cocktail does not come up short! Everything in this screams Peanut Butter and Jelly, and it’s so interesting to pick it apart as you swish it around against your tastebuds. This thing slaps HARD! You’ll get a little hint of the Bols blackberry brandy acting as the “jelly” part of the drink, but for the most part (just as you would on a PB&J sandwich), the peanut butter is going to be your most prominent flavor. It’s very rich and smooth and will really make you question just how they were able to make it taste JUST like peanut butter spread across a sandwich in liquid form, but we’re here to tell you it exists, and it’s probably one of the strongest drinks we’ve come up against in all of Disney World.
Then we turned our attention over to Grandma’s Picnic Punch! This drink is a Grandma concoction of a wonderful drink to bring to the family picnic. She’s mixed vodka, peach schnapps, créme de cassis, light lemonade, and pineapple juice together to form this delicious drink that you can grab for $17.
No joke, this isn’t the punch your Grandma is probably serving at your picnics — it’s BETTER! It’s definitely got the notable “punch” of the vodka right away as you’re sipping it, but it’s also really smooth with the peach schnapps. The lemonade and pineapple juice combo is where you’ll get that sour pucker, though! Overall, it’s true to its name and really does taste like a cocktail you might take along with you for a summertime picnic in the park.
Overall
All in all, if you’re looking for a quick place to rest your weary bones for a bit, this is the spot that’s ready to welcome you in. While it’s seemingly got all the comforts of home surrounding you, this place kicks that up a notch with someone there to serve your every beverage need!
Just mind your P’s and Q’s and remember to invite all your friends over with you next time.
Nosh or Not?
Jump and jive your way into Tune-In Lounge if…
- You’re achin’ to cure a parched mouth. If you’re ready for some time hoppin’ drinks and cocktails, there isn’t another place like this one in all of Disney World.
- You LOVE 50’s Prime Time Cafe and the retro vibe. Ready to keep your experience going? Stop by the lounge to venture back through time for a little bit and sit a spell.
- You’re looking for one of the most hidden gems in all of Disney World! Seriously, this place is stellar, and it’s got several exclusive drink cocktails to back it up that make your trip out here worthwhile.
Stroll on by Tune-In Lounge if…
- You’re looking for a lounge with some food. Unfortunately, when we asked this time around, we were NOT able to order any food at the lounge. This is one Disney World lounge that’s exclusively drinks.
- The whole retro getup just isn’t jiving with you. The theming here is pretty on point, and if it feels a little too real like you’ve stepped back in time and thus you’re given the heebie-jeebies, you’ll probably want to pick another lounge.
- You need some elbow room. This lounge isn’t known to be the most spacious. If you need a little extra space from your neighbor or more potential to actually sit instead of be left standing, this probably isn’t a great choice during peak hours for you.

I love the Tune-In lounge but it’s always packed with people waiting for their tables at 50’s Prime Time. I’m sure that is also why they no longer let you order food – so people can enjoy the bar without it being used as overflow for the restaurant.

The Tune-In Lounge is a must for us. Great place to get a drink, get some air conditioning. The bartenders are so friendly and welcoming. Nice place to visit with other vacationers. Always meet new people. Stop in you will enjoy.
