EPCOT is known for all the various food options you can try within the park.
Every World Showcase pavilion has cultural snack options, each world in the park has restaurants and snack stands, and then, of course, there are the seasonal festivals that we love SO much. All throughout the year, you can try new snacks or grab your favorite go-to in EPCOT. Since the snack options vary so much and change all throughout the year, there’s always a chance that some aren’t going to be great. We asked our readers what the worst snack was that they’ve had in EPCOT, and we can’t necessarily disagree with the answer.
There was a variety of answers from our readers about which snacks they didn’t like in EPCOT, some even saying they have yet to find something they don’t like in the park. However, there was one answer that we had a hard time disagreeing with.
DFB Reader Laura said the worst snack she’s had in EPCOT was “Everything I’ve ever had at the Italy booth.” The Italy booth during each of EPCOT’s festivals has a bit of a reputation for not being great. We wouldn’t necessarily say everything there at every festival has been bad, but it isn’t the best.
Reader Misty agreed, saying, “Anything from the Italy booth at any festival,” while others echoed her statement. This year, at the 2024 Food and Wine Festival, the Italy booth let us down with a couple of its food options. We tried the Italian-style “Nachos” and the Polpettine Toscane, and both were letdowns. The nachos were a bit odd, and the meatballs in the Polpettine Toscane were the only good part about the dish.
However, we do need to give credit where credit is due. The Vanilla Cheesecake was fantastic!
Typically, year after year, the Italy booth tends to be a letdown. You might find one item on the menu at each festival that stands out above the rest, but the booth as a whole is not usually a best of the fest.

Some of the booths we do love at each festival are usually the Germany booth, the France booth, the Mexico booth, and, new at the Food and Wine Festival this year, the Macatizers booth. Throughout the year, EPCOT has four festivals — the Flower and Garden Festival, the Festival of the Arts, the International Food & Wine Festival, and the Festival of the Holidays. The Food & Wine Festival is happening now through November 23rd.
The Italy booth isn’t one to skip on your tour of festival booths, but just know that it might not be your favorite! There are lots of yummy treats at EPCOT’s festivals, and we hope you get to try them soon.
