Sometimes all you need to turn your mundane day around at EPCOT is an ice-cold beverage and a staple Disney World snack. Luckily, we know just where you should head next!

Our whole meal to review
We already know you’re busy hitting up the many booths for everything you can snack on in one day at EPCOT’s Food & Wine Festival but if you find yourself a little tired of repeats and are ready to rediscover a timeless kiosk that will be there year-round for you, we can’t recommend this place enough!
Congratulations! You’ve made it halfway around the World Showcase and it’s time to stop for a spell at Block & Hans.

Block & Hans
You’ll find this permanent snack kiosk tucked in the corner of The American Adventure which faces The American Gardens Theater and is neighbored by the delicious Funnel Cakes stand. This is a well known stop for those with a keen eye or repeat visitors due to its beer, ale, and hard cider options.
Atmosphere
As you make your way over to the kiosk you’ll probably be most drawn in by its unique shape. It mimics a small gazebo of sorts with a round kiosk with hard sides, which sets it apart from the rest of the structures found around the same area.

Step right up!
It’s tied together to the colonial American theming with the red, white, and blue banners along with its sign (looking regal as ever). It’s pretty open concept, which makes for a cool experience to watch your beers freshly poured and talk over the menu options with the Cast Members inside. The line is typically pretty short here, so there’s just a singular line to order and slide down a few steps until you’re handed your items.

Sign above order window
Those with eagle eyes will spot a bit of additional theming at the kiosk, but you’ll have to be close enough to look within it. As you’re ordering, take a moment to look above and beyond the Cast Member to take in all the details of the jugs, tins, and jars resting on shelves.

Colonial style theming
Now, where were we? Ah, yes…it’s time to place our order!
Menu
The menu here reflects the short and to the point style of the atmosphere for this kiosk. There are a few ales, a hard cider, but mostly beers for beverage options.

Menu
Occasionally, there are specialty offerings, like this drink offered during EPCOT’s Food & Wine Festival along with the beer flight highlighted by cards.

Cards for specialty drinks
There’s also a single snack option here, the Mickey Pretzel with cheese.
Drinks
We decided to go all out this time and place our order all together (which meant we needed to walk verrrry carefully not to spill anything over to our table). We opted for the Ciderboys Strawberry Magic Hard Cider, Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale, and a classic Mickey Pretzel with cheddar cheese sauce.

Let’s eat!
Let’s tell you about the drinks we ordered first. We kicked off this review with the Ciderboys Strawberry Magic Hard Cider which cost us $13.

Ciderboys Strawberry Hard Cider
Surprisingly, this one kept things very interesting! It’s a light hard cider that’s strawberry flavored and bubbles like a sparking soda as it trickles down your throat. It’s served very cold, which helps bring that initial strawberry flavor to the forefront of your tired and thirsty tastebuds and makes for a very easy drink to sip on as you’re cooling off.

Deliciously fruity!
We really enjoyed this drink and while the price is a little steep, you get a very sizable pour that was filled as full as we could get it. For the price and taste, we would totally get this again and felt it’s a great option if you’re looking for something to leisurely sip on or enjoy a hearty meal with.
Then it was time to tackle the grittier Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale. This drink is also served on draft and will cost you just $12 for a full cup.

Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale
If you’re a bourbon fan, this is definitely a drink you’ll want to try! Kentucky is known for their boundless bourbon distilleries and how they’re able to capture that well-rounded barrel packaged flavor within their drinks.

That color fits the robust flavor
Its definitely beefier than the hard cider we tried before this one, but if you fancy yourself more of a smokey bourbon drinker over a beer or lighter IPA or cider taste, this is one drink you won’t want to skip on your next trip to EPCOT.
Eats
Ok, after sipping on two drinks it was time to put something into our belly that gave us a bit of sustenance, and we all know that snacks taste better when they’re Mickey-shaped. That’s right, the solo snackeroo here is a Mickey Pretzel with cheddar cheese served as a combo for $8.25.

Mickey Pretzel
This is a classic, soft and fluffy, yet salted Mickey shaped pretzel whose expression is too adorable to pass up. It’s a timeless snack for a reason and we immediately saw why it fit the menu here so easily. The pretzel was warm, well cooked, and easy to pull apart without feeling super hard (sometimes these pretzels are a bit hit or miss on that).

Cheddar cheese sauce
In terms of flavor, the pretzel itself is pretty bland unless you’re getting that salt in each of your bites, so we were glad to see the cheddar cheese sauce served with it.

Inside of the pretzel
There’s plenty in the cup to be able to dip every bite if you wanted to and it creates a thin coating on the outside of the pretzel unless you really scoop it on to your snack.

Dippable
While this is a snack you can get at multiple snack kiosks and carts around EPCOT — and most places in Disney World for that matter, we felt it fit the bill here the best to counter the various beers, ales, and hard cider served at Block & Hans.
Overall
All in all, this is a snack spot that doesn’t seem to get the appreciation it deserves (and their service is super quick). This isn’t meant to be a place where you stop and stay for awhile, so it doesn’t build up unnecessary crowds too quickly — which means you’re free to continue roaming when you’re ready.

A solid snack
However, if you do want to stop for a bit there are several picnic tables nearby that serve as an impromptu hang out for you and a few friends!
Nosh or Not?
Set course for Block & Hans as you’re crossing the Delaware (err, World Showcase) if…
- You’re looking for a great, cold, alcoholic beverage! They’re the bulk of the business here so yeah, it’s kinda their specialty.
- You like a photogenic snack and drink with a great variety of breathtaking backgrounds. There’s seriously so many places to show off your drinks and eats here; the World Showcase lagoon with Spaceship Earth in the distance, the cascading fountain in the center of the pavilion, and even a colonial style smoker nearby if that’s more your style.
- You don’t need to get super fancy with your drinks and eats; it’s more about the taste. Mmm…quality over quantity is the name of the game for this kiosk, and it’s got the “proof” in flavor to back it up.
Set sail for another settlement if…
- You need a variety of selections to choose from. If you’re someone who needs lots of options to decide which drink or two to try out, this might not be as extensive as you prefer.
- You’re looking for an appetizer-like snack with your drinks. Sorry folks, there’s one snacky snack that reigns supreme here — the big cheese himself (dipped in a tub of cheese).
- Hard liquor is more what you’re craving rather than beer, ale, and ciders. Ah, while this isn’t quite the stop for you, you’re in luck! Try the beverage window just outside of the neighboring Regal Eagle Smokehouse just a few steps away for more spirited options.
