Attention, Disney Vacation Club members! We’ve got a BIG new perk to share. Now, we should point out that this is one of those perks that isn’t free but instead is something you’re exclusively eligible for, thanks to your DVC membership. Got it? Good. Now, let’s talk about it!
Disney just dropped a full guide to its brand-new “Membership Magic Beyond option,” coming December 3rd, 2024. It will be available to use starting January 12th through December 31st, 2025. Let’s dive in!
The Membership Magic Beyond option is a paid “yearly enhanced benefits package,” giving you special ways to elevate your vacation. Eligible Disney Vacation Club Members can purchase this add-on option for $99 starting December 3rd, 2024, for usage from January 12th through December 31st, 2025.

Note that to qualify for this new option, you must have an ownership interest with 150 Vacation Points or more purchased directly from Disney Vacation Development, Inc. Not everyone who is a member or in a household needs to purchase the Membership Magic Beyond option in order to use the benefits. That said, the ability to book, reserve, or purchase any benefit is limited to the enrolled member.
The Membership Magic Beyond option is nontransferable, nonrefundable, not redeemable for cash, and may not be resold, so be sure to think carefully before you purchase this add-on option. Disney notes that payment for the Membership Magic Beyond option cannot be split into monthly payments.

Another money grab from Disney. Taking away privileges that were previously free and adding others with minimal value.

It’s not really a perk if you have to pay for it.

Don’t see anything there for me. How about some real perks like pool hopping, better acceptance at Disney Establishments for merchandise or food, member discount stacking for DVC members only, ability to purchase Disney Gift cards at a discount, and more. Disney has been taking advantage of its DVC member pool and not rewarding the membership.

we sold our DVC which we purchased in 1998 purely because they took away nearly every perk we initially had, and as the years progressed, they made it harder to book the hotel of choice when you needed it and jacked
up the ridiculous annual resort fees, along with the points required, its just not worth it anymore!

I’m really confused at some of the perks listed here. For example, being able to purchase extra DVC points is something you don’t have to do by purchasing this. Also access to member lounges is a perk given to DVC members. Do you now have to pay for a pass even though you’re already an existing DVC member? And you have to pay for this perk to be able to buy discounted tickets are you kidding me? DVC members have already invested in contracts, ensuring Disney that we will be revisiting their parks on a yearly to semi yearly basis now you’re charging them for the privilege of getting a discount ? Disney has been increasingly taking away member perks at an alarming rate since Covid and no wonder the company is struggling. They are not taking care of the people they should.
