Disney World is offering a new way to skip the lines.
The new Lightning Lane Premier Pass allows you to ride every Lightning Lane attraction in one day at one park — without having to make specific Lightning Lane reservations. That’s right — without having to use your phone all day!
Â
But just how much will the Lightning Lane Premier Pass cost? Well, it’s probably going to cost more than your park ticket.
Disney says the price for the Lightning Lane Premier Pass will range from $129 to $449. Just like Disney World tickets and the other Lightning Lane passes, the Lightning Lane Premier Pass will use dynamic pricing — prices will vary based on demand. Busier times of year — like holiday weekends — will see the high end of this price range.
Price ranges per park are as follows:
- Magic Kingdom: $329-$449 plus tax
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom: $129-$199 plus tax
- EPCOT: $169-$249 plus tax
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios: $269-$349 plus tax
That’s a per day, per person price. And yes, it’s a lot. The first day the Lightning Lane Premier Pass will be available is October 30th, and this pass can only be purchased if you are staying in a Disney Deluxe Resort, Deluxe Villa Resort, Shades of Green, or the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin.
Here’s one super important thing to know about the Lightning Lane Premier Pass — it is only good for one park. So, if you buy it for Magic Kingdom, you’ll be able to ride every ride that has a Lightning Lane in Magic Kingdom (and that includes the Lightning Lane Single Pass rides TRON Lightcycle/Run and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train), but you can’t then hop to Hollywood Studios and use your pass there.
We’ll be bringing you all the details of Lightning Lane Premier Pass, and of course we will be in the parks testing it out on October 30th. So keep following DFB for the latest Disney news!Â

This is becoming asinine! Disney charges so doggone much for their park admission tickets and annual passes now! Then they threw Genie+, the new LL systems on top of that and NOW they want to charge for a “PREMIER” LL that could possibly cost more than a 1 day ticket!!!!!! Why not just go back to the old ticket book system and be done with it! I’m a Disney shareholder and embarrassed at how GREEDY Disney seems to have become! Regular families are being priced out of the Magic! A vacation for 4 to WDW is coming closer to the cost of a small home rather than a happy escape from the world of work and strife! I am a Passholder as well and with each cringeworthy thing that Disney comes up with to make more money off of park goers, I am becoming more and more tempted NOT to renew next year!

Wow! Lightning Lane Premier Pass. That’s outrageous. Not a good look Disney… I’ve visited the parks regularly since 1993 when fast passes although limited, ran as a free, fair system.
Walt will be turning in his grave, not his vision me thinks!
Ariana says
Holy cow! I like the idea of being able to experience each ride a park has to offer, but this is not something that will be financially feasible for my family. The prices are higher than the park tickets, and only being an option for deluxe resort guests (of which my family and I also cannot feasibly manage….). I wouldn’t call this a perk.

The new Lightening Lane Premier Pass sounded interesting until I got to its price. The price makes it a non-starter for my family. Walt Disney envisioned a fun, clean park that would be accessible for all families to enjoy. The price point of this new Lightening Lane Premier Pass is antithetical to Walt’s vision, just like everything Bob Iger has approved or created during Iger’s tenure as CEO. This is an abomination.

Universal Studios has been a great theme park model for Disney.
Jen says
Okay so can you go on a ride multiple times? Or restricted only once like current lighting lane. Also, can you go on any time you want? Geez that’s a lot of money!
Chrystie says
This appears to be inline with what Universal does with their Premier Pass. It’s quite expensive (like $325 or something) and no one bats an eye.

When I stay at a Universal Deluxe or premier hotel, I get my front of line passes free for everyone in that room. Disney charges me twice as much for a room and wants me to pay between $199 – $449 for a pass. How can a family afford $449 per person, per day? I’m absolutely disgusted by Disney’s continuing cash grab. They are a company with no morals.

WONDERFUL!
We’ve been tempted to use a Plaid to be able to enjoy everything, but that price is unreasonable.
$449 at MK for the whole day is a relative bargain.
Sorry, but Disney has ALWAYS been expensive.
Mike Certain says
The pricing is way too high. Between the park ticket and the pass you could be looking at $460 – $650 per person. For a family of four that’s $1,840 – $2,600 for one day in Magic Kingdom, not including hotel, food, transportation, souvenirs, etc.
Also, if it means the Premier Pass people are making the standby lines so long that you are severely limited in what you can do, and it negatively impacts the overall experience for everyone else, it may mean passing on going to WDW (and Universal) altogether and just going other places and doing other things. I love Disney, but there is a limit.
We’ll see how this plays out, and I’m normally a “it will be ok” guy, but I am genuinely concerned about the impact on this on the average guest.
Nonya says
At Universal you get their Express pass free when you stay at their deluxe hotels.
Danielle says
Exactly, there is NO MENTION if you are able to ride the same ride over and over again. It’s just all too much and such a shame.
Holly G says
I hope Disney cost on LL Pass goes up so high no one will buy them. Then the Stand-by lane will move faster. Stop looking at the negative of the LL Pass cost going up and look at the benefit of no one buying them. We can all get on all the rides we want instead of having a 45 minute wait time go to 60 because all the LL people are holding the line up. So go on Mickey raise those LL prices.
