If you’re planning a trip to Disneyland Resort, you probably want to know all about the available skip-the-line options.
Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass are paid offerings that allow you to skip the line at select attractions during scheduled time windows. However, some people don’t like having to select their Lightning Lane return times through the Disneyland app. If you fall in that camp, you may be interested in using the newest offering — Lightning Lane Premier Pass.
Starting on October 23rd, 2024, Disneyland Resort will begin piloting Lightning Lane Premier Pass. For a one-time charge, this Premier Pass gives you access to every Lightning Lane in Disneyland and Disney California Adventure on the date of your choosing. You’ll only get to use each Lightning Lane entrance ONCE with this system, but you won’t have to schedule your return times — simply show up at the Lightning Lane entrance whenever you’re ready.
This may seem like a great deal, but the main thing holding fans back about the new Lightning Lane Premier Pass is the price. It’s $400 per person, per day through December 31st, 2024. Beginning in 2025, pricing will vary by date and will be $300-$400 per person.
Is it worth it? We’ll be interested to try it out ourselves and form an opinion. But until then, the best thing we can offer is the facts of the system. With Lightning Lane Premier Pass, you can enter each available Lightning Lane once, including those that were previously exclusively available through Lightning Lane Single Pass. What is that list? Let’s take a look.
All of the attractions included with the Lightning Lane Premier Pass are as follows:
Disneyland Park
- Autopia
- Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
- Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters
- Haunted Mansion*
- Indiana Jones Adventure
- “it’s a small world”
- Matterhorn Bobsleds
- Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway
- Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run
- Pirates of the Caribbean*
- Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin
- Space Mountain
- Star Tours – The Adventures Continue
- Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance (also available with Lightning Lane Single Pass)
NOTE: Haunted Mansion Holiday is currently only available through a virtual queue as Disney works to make some improvements in the attraction’s queue area. Also, Pirates of the Caribbean is only available with Lightning Lane access for a limited time — it is not on this list permanently.
Disney California Adventure
- Goofy’s Sky School
- Grizzly River Run
- Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!
- Incredicoaster
- The Little Mermaid – Ariel’s Undersea Adventure
- Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue!
- Radiator Springs Racers (also available with Lightning Lane Single Pass)
- Soarin’ Around the World
- Toy Story Midway Mania!
- WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure
As you can see, there are 22 attractions currently included with Lightning Lane Premier Pass. This list does not include ALL of the attractions in Disneyland Resort. Accomplishing 22 attractions in one day, even with Lightning Lane access, would be a pretty daunting schedule, but it may not be impossible with the proper planning. (You’d probably be starting your day early in the morning and finishing late!)
Like Lightning Lane Multi Pass, Lightning Lane Premier Pass includes access to Disney PhotoPass Lenses and downloads of your Disney PhotoPass pictures from the day. Lightning Lane Premier Pass is subject to very limited availability and can be purchased through the Disneyland app up to 2 days before your vacation at 7AM Pacific time. You’ll need valid admission and a park reservation to purchase the Premier Pass.
So if the attractions on the list of available Lightning Lanes are appealing to you and you’ve got a more flexible budget, Lightning Lane Premier Pass might be right for you. We’ll be testing it out when it drops, and we’ll make sure to let you know our thoughts!

Bill Lund says
I just got back from an Adventures by Disney tour of Hollywood and the Disneyland Resort. We had a fair amount of time free and they gave us multiple use Lightning Lane passes. We could go to any LL (except Rise of the Resistance) and just walk into the LL entrance. No planning, just show up. I could really get use to that, but I’m not sure that the price mentioned here is worth it. If you’re going to do multiple people, it might just be more cost effective to take a VIP tour. Speaking of which, there appeared to be a lot of VIP tours happening while we were there.
