It’s too late to ring in 2025 at Magic Kingdom.
Holidays at Disney World can get pretty busy. From Easter to Thanksgiving to Christmas, many spend these days at the resort’s theme parks and hotels. One of the busiest holidays at the “Most Magical Place on Earth” is New Year’s Eve, with the parks staying open late and offering special entertainment offerings. However, it’s too late to get into Disney World’s busiest park this coming New Year’s.
As of the official Walt Disney World reservation calendar, Magic Kingdom is sold out for December 31st, 2024.
If you are lucky enough to have secured a ticket or park pass reservation for New Year’s Eve at the Magic Kingdom, you’ll have several special offerings to look forward to based on previous years including special New Year’s Eve fireworks shows at 6:30PM and 11:50PM, as well as “some of the final showings of Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade” according to PlanDisney.
If you’re shut out of New Year’s Eve at the Magic Kingdom, you can still spend the holiday at Walt Disney World. Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT all still currently show availability on December 31st. In fact, the latter park is often celebrated as having the best New Year’s Eve showing of Disney World’s parks thanks to its massive fireworks show.
New Year’s Eve is SOLD out at the Magic Kingdom. However, Walt Disney World’s other three theme parks still have reservations available to celebrate the start of 2025. Stay tuned to DBF for more Walt Disney World Holiday updates.

Denise Vander Wall says
I was under the impression you didn’t need to make a part reservation to get into the parks anymore.
Lucretia Kleinman says
I guess, contrary to what a lot of people say, WDW is still special and worth visiting! Have fun! and Happy New Year!
Laura says
I asked my agent about this because I panicked a bit…she says I absolutely don’t need a reservation for the parks I go to during my trip that this is for pass holders. Can someone confirm this?
Christine says
I’m confused. Are you talking about pass holders that require a reservation, because those of us who have regular tickets can’t make reservations? If the park is already showing at capacity, then what does that mean for the rest of us?
DFB Gigi says
Hi Christine! When we say it’s sold out, we mean that the reservations are unavailable online to Passholders, however, keep in mind that the park can reach capacity on New Year’s Eve so if you’re wanting to ensure you get to partake in the festivities you may want to arrive early.
