Being a Disney World Annual Passholder comes with a whole lot of perks. In January 2024, “Good-to-Go” days were introduced for Disney World Annual Passholders!
These are dates when Passholders DO NOT need a Disney Park Park reservation to enter ANY of the four Disney World theme parks. Overall, Good-to-Go days have been pretty well received, but we recently noticed a new problem that’s suddenly plaguing Disney World Annual Passholders when it comes to this perk!
Good-to-Go Days have added a bit more flexibility to the Annual Passholder park-going experience since Park Pass Reservations went away for most ticketed guests. Passholders are still required to make reservations before 2PM and on Magic Kingdom on the weekends — but not on Good-to-Go Days. Disney will release Good-to-Go Days seemingly randomly (though we’re sure there’s a method to their madness) but it typically happens a week to weeks out.
But, as of now — there are no Good-to-Go Days on the calendar. For the rest of the year, it seems Annual Passholders will need to make reservations if they want to visit the parks during the designated times. This is likely because we’re officially well into the holiday season which starts with Halloween in August. But, now that we’re halfway through October and Disney World is entering its busiest season of the year with Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up, it’s possible that Disney is limiting Good-to-Go days to allow for more control over the crowds.
We also noticed that there are no Good-t0-Go Days on the calendar for the beginning of 2025 either, and while this isn’t particularly noteworthy since it’s too soon for Disney to announce them anyway — we can’t help but be hopeful this means park reservations will be going away for Annual Passholders altogether! As of now, Disney hasn’t made any sort of announcements or dropped any hints that this is the case, but we can dream, right?
As a reminder, you can keep track of Good-to-Go Days by looking for circled dates that appear when you (as long as you’re an Annual Passholder) are logged into your My Disney Experience account. The circled dates mean it’s a Good-to-Go day and you don’t need to make a park reservation!
You’ll also see a message appear on any Good-to-Go days on the home screen of the app if you just scroll down a little bit from the top. (Note that this message will appear the day of only).
Disney notes that “the theme park reservation calendar will be updated periodically and will show Passholders select days when they may visit a Disney World theme park without needing a theme park reservation.” That means that you will see the “Good to Go” days on a rolling basis, so you can’t view the whole year right away.
It’s important to note that blockout dates still apply, and your calendar will reflect any applicable blockout dates, as well.
Here’s some additional important info you might want to know about Good-to-Go Days:
- “Good-to-Go” days will automatically appear in the Theme Park Reservation calendar, the Annual Passholder admissions calendar, and the My Disney Experience app;
- What if we already have a park reservation, but that date becomes a Good-to-Go day? Well, that reservation will be removed from your park reservation limit, and will no longer count against your allotment! Don’t worry, tho — it will still appear in your Future Plans when you are logged into my My Disney Experience;
- Good-to-Go days will be added on a rolling basis — days or weeks in advance — so it’s advisable to keep a close watch on the calendar in case of any last-minute date additions;
- Note that Annual Passholders and Cast Members still need to make Park Pass Reservations on most days if they wish to visit a park BEFORE 2PM or Magic Kingdom at any time on a Saturday or Sunday. The Good-To-Go days are an exception to these rules;
- As always, Annual Passholder blockout dates apply for your specific Annual Pass level.

After many years of being an out of state passholder, I let my annual pass expire. The main reasons were the HUGE price increase for the Incredipass (which is my only option) as well as still having to make park reservations. The good to go days aren’t released far enough in advance for us to not make park reservations for an upcoming trip. Passholders still have to make them in case their days are not released as good to go days….so what use are they?

I agree that Good -to-go days are basically pointless for anyone coming from out of state. By the time they post the dates, all our plans have already been made.

Hello! I found your article very informative and read it with great interest. I discovered this blog only recently and I am glad I did. I will definitely read more articles. Congratulations on the blog and regards!

I have been following the changes taking place in the Florida Parks. We choose never to return to these Parks, not because we cannot afford the trip, but because we choose not to return to a place we frequented annually without an annual pass. Walt Disney never meant the parks to be accessible by the wealthy only OR by families who take their life savings to give their children a moment in the “Happiest (?) Place on Earth” Mr. Disney is weeping. Disney pictured the parks to be ever-changing, but nothing was said of the greedy pockets of the higher-ups in the Parks’ administration. So sad. As my car decal says, “Is Disney missing me as much as I miss him!”

This isn’t surprising. As a Pirate Pass holder, I’m blocked out pretty much from mid-December to January 3, then again for MLK long weekend. They won’t have good to go days until after January 20, then they will probably be sketchy until the spring break crowds disappear.

It’s sad that we pay so much and get so little. We’re DVC and annual passholders yet when the perks are cut back we are the first ones hit
