When in EPCOT…
If EPCOT is known for anything, it’s known for its plethora of great food options. That’s one of the biggest draws to the park especially since you can chow down on cuisine from all over the world. Speaking of international cuisine, there’s this one restaurant in the World Showcase that seems to always have an EPIC line, but we’re here to beg you. Please, oh please, don’t skip this one. You need to wait this one out and we’ll tell you why!
As we were saying, imagine that you’re strolling through EPCOT’s France Pavilion, maybe snapping a few pics of the Eiffel Tower replica, when you catch the unmistakable aroma of freshly baked bread. Your stomach basically does a backflip because of the hunger. You know that it’s time. It’s time to go hit up Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie, and that’s because it’s basically a rite of passage.
So, you tell your stomach that it won’t be much longer until it gets its noms and you rock up to the restaurant. Then, you see it. The line, and it’s long. Like, “Is this for a ride? Did I miss a virtual queue?” long.
But wait! Hold on! We’re BEGGING you. Don’t let that line scare you away. We know it looks intimidating, but guess what? It moves fast. I mean, REALLY fast. And trust us, it’s worth the wait.
The Line May Look Wild, But Trust Us
Here’s the thing about Les Halles — the line always seems long. It’s like the place has some kind of a gravitational pull. Everyone is drawn to its perfect pastries, sandwiches, and sweets. So, don’t freak out when you see it snaking through the room. It’s kind of like a mirage. Well, sort of. The line is definitely there, but it moves way faster than it looks.
They’ve got a solid system going on in there. Whether you’re grabbing a croissant or an éclair, the Cast Members behind the counter have mastered the art of efficiency. They’re not messing around.
Also, if you’re not ordering hot food, you’ll glide through that line even quicker. The pre-made sandwiches, pastries, and other cold items are ready to go, so you’re basically just pointing, smiling, and walking away with your delicious haul.
You Literally Can’t Go Wrong
Now, what should you get when you finally reach the counter? Honestly? Anything. You. Want. We’re not kidding when we say everything on the menu is a win.
Whether you’re in the mood for something savory, a perfect baguette, or something sweet, you’re guaranteed to leave satisfied.
Croissants? Flaky and buttery perfection. Éclairs? Rich, creamy goodness. Quiche Lorraine? Chef’s kiss. Even the humble baguette sandwich feels like an elevated experience when you’re eating it in the middle of EPCOT.
So Why Wait? (Because It’s Worth It)
We know how it feels. You’re in Disney World, and when you’re standing in line for anything, it can feel like precious time is just ticking away. But when it comes to Les Halles, the line is deceiving. It looks like it’ll take forever, but before you know it, you’ll be stepping up to the counter and facing the “hard” part — deciding what to get. Again, let’s be real, whatever you choose, you’re going to walk away with a little slice of heaven.
So next time you see that seemingly endless line outside Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie, don’t walk away. Stay put and you’ll come out shortly with some seriously delicious treats.
