We’ve only got a few weeks left for one of Disney World’s biggest events of the year!
The EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival kicked off in August with dozens of food booths and new items. We were there opening weekend to try out all the eats and check out all the news. One of the big problems on opening day is that there was a delay with one of the food booths…but now we’ve got an update!
Starting on the opening day of the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, the Australia food booth had to operate out of a temporary set-up, because they didn’t have the proper permits for the food booth. The food booth could be seen nearby, but they were serving food out of a large white tent.
Ever since that opening day, we’ve stopped back by the Australia booth again and again to see if anything had changed, but there were no updates until a few weeks ago. Ahead of a hurricane set to hit Central Florida, Disney took down the tent and once again moved Australia to a temporary location — this time inside Sunshine Seasons at The Land Pavilion.
The booth lived at The Land for a few days, until FINALLY, we got the news we’d been waiting for…the real Australia booth is now open! It began operations at EPCOT a few days ago, and it still serves the same menu from the beginning of the festival.
Everything is set up like the other festival booths, with menu boards, a queue, order kiosks, and a pickup window. You can even watch the chefs grill outside! There are some extra tables added nearby for more dining space as well.
But alas, the booth has finally opened with only a few weeks of the festival left. The Food & Wine Festival wraps up on November 23rd, and the Festival of the Holidays begins shortly after. So make sure you stop by and pay Australia a visit before then!
