While we love to stay on property at Disney World, this off-property resort makes us rethink everything we thought we knew.
Evermore Resort is a massive, one-billion-dollar resort located outside of Disney World. It features five to eleven bedroom vacation rental homes. While prices can change based on the size of your home, dates, and the number of people in your party, a stay can range from $1,379 to $3,880 per night. Each vacation home has a heated saltwater pool, a kitchen, and access to 2/3 miles of beachfront, a bay filled with 17 million gallons of water. While all of that is super impressive, we got to try a next-level in-home experience!
Thinking about booking a stay at Evermore Orlando! We’ve got an exclusive discount just for YOU. Save 25% with the code DFB25 at checkout now through February 28th, 2025. Book 4+ nights at any house or flat to score the deal. It’s that simple!
While you are on vacation, you deserve to treat yourself, and you do not want to be the one cleaning and cooking. Vacation homes at Evermore Resort come with a full-service kitchen, and you can have private chefs come to your home and do the cooking for you! We got to experience this for ourselves! It is called the Evermore To Your Door Private Chef Experience. Private chefs will come to your house and prepare a four-course meal for $125 a person. You are able to choose from a menu to decide what you would like for each course.
In order to book this experience, you need to have at least a minimum of ten adults with two children included. If you have additional children that are under 10, they only cost $24.95, which again is reasonable. Children are also able to choose their own entrees from the kids’ menu. Below is the menu you can choose from.
Menu
The menu continued…
Chefs need about three to four hours in your kitchen ahead of time to prep the meal, so this is just something to keep in mind as people will be in your home. It is important to note that our experience was not typical. We were hosted, and two chefs prepared our meals at our house.
This is what was on the menu that we had prepared for us.
Eats
To start, they treated us to a bread service, which is not usually offered. We wish it would be because this bread was delicious. When our reporters tried it, they were literally fighting over the last piece.
It was brioche pretzel bread, which came with their specialty herb butter. Once again, this is not something that usually comes with the private chef experience.
It was then time to move into our first official course, the Saffron Paella Bites. These reminded us of arancini but with paella. They were breaded on the outside and had paella on the inside. They had a tomato-based savory flavor.
These were delicious, but they did not stand out. Everyone who tried them liked them. Normally, the appetizer is served family-style, but ours is individually plated.
Next, we had the Beet Salad, which was delicious. It came with watercress, goat cheese, citrus, and dill pistachio dressing. This was a stand-out salad, and we really liked the goat cheese piped on. Once again, this course is usually served family-style. The online menu says crumbled goat cheese, so it is important to note that it may differ. This salad reminded us of a summer salad and was very refreshing. It is exactly what you want on vacation, and it is a good way to warm up for your main course.
Both appetizer courses were perfectly portioned, which was nice because we felt like we could finish everything. For our main course, we had the Braised Beef Short Rib, which came with herb-crushed potatoes and root vegetables. We felt super satisfied with this larger main course. It was a huge chunk of short rib that was perfectly tender and easy to pull apart.
Our favorite thing was the herb-crushed potatoes. They were buttery, smooth, and delectable. We dipped our short rib in the potatoes to combine all the flavors in one bite. The root vegetables were also perfectly cooked and soft and tender.
Our dessert course was different from what they would prepare for the standard private chef experience. They showcased what they would serve at a banquet or event, so we got to choose from a bunch of mini desserts. We really like the Nutella Cheesecake, Tiramisu, and Coconut Cake. As mentioned, this is not how dessert is typically served; instead, you would get to choose one dessert per group.
Overall
Overall, we thought that this was a fun experience, especially for a special occasion. $125 per person is not too crazy for a private chef experience in your home, plus children ten and under are free. The food we were served was food that you would find at a nicer restaurant, kind of like a signature restaurant at Disney World.
The biggest perk is that this experience is in our own vacation home. We were so relaxed, and it was truly a real stand-out during our stay.
