Okay, so we already know a lot of changes are coming to Magic Kingdom.
In 2025, Magic Kingdom will finally get a nighttime parade again (and we can’t wait). But there’s also a huge expansion coming to the park, which will include a new Cars area with TWO rides in Frontierland PLUS an all-new Villains-themed land. However, one BIG change is coming even sooner than that — NEXT WEEK. And well, we have to say, We ARE READY.
Back in August, Halloween came to Magic Kingdom DURING a hurricane, just in time for the first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party on August 9th. Some of our favorite spooky decor made a return to the park, including the Mickey pumpkin wreaths on Main Street. The weather might not FEEL like fall in Disney World, but it certainly LOOKS like it.
We also got to attend the first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and did our trick-or-treating, enjoyed some fun entertainment that included a special parade and fireworks, and had some fun character interactions. However, those good times will soon come to an end.
Once October 31st (the REAL Halloween) ends and Magic Kingdom will undergo a complete transformation — overnight. The orange and black decor will make way for red and green while the Mickey pumpkin wreaths will be replaced with Christmas wreaths. Yes, brace yourself, the holidays are coming to Disney World on November 1st!
Of course, we’ll also be seeing Christmas decor in the other parks, too, but the most drastic transformation happens in Magic Kingdom. Want to see how Disney does it in one night? We posted some photos of that overnight transformation here. However, Disney Parks also posted a video of how it’s done:
We’ll never not be impressed with the Halloween to Christmas transition! So prepare yourself because Magic Kingdom is getting a whole new look next week.

Disney offers ‘behind the scenes’ tours for various things. I’ve always thought it would be cool if they offered an after hours behind the scenes tour where you could go and see some behind the scenes magic.
