Reservations are FILLING up fast.
Spending part of the holiday season at Disney World has become a major tradition for many visitors. Whether it’s attending a special event like the Magic Kingdom’s Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party or Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios, taking a trip ”around the world” at EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays, or simply soaking in the ambiance of the parks on a Holiday. However, if you have a Disney ticket type or Annual Pass that requires a reservation and you’re hoping to spend some time at the resort this season, you should probably make a reservation soon!
As we looked over the Disney World calendar recently, we noticed that some major Holiday season dates are already showing as unavailable for reservations.
For example, as we previously mentioned, New Year’s Eve is showing no availability for the Magic Kingdom or EPCOT, both of which are home to massive New Year’s fireworks displays.
Meanwhile, Hollywood Studios is showing no availability for… um… November 9th? Why this random Saturday? Well, it’s the first day that Jollywood Nights is offered. While the event is a separate ticketed, after-hours event, it seems that many are planning on spending the day at the park before attending. Remember, the park will close early at 7PM for Jollywood Nights so it may not be worth a full park day!
In addition, we’d be remiss not to bring up Christmas Day. While December 25th is currently showing reservations available for all four theme parks, that seems to be fluctuating often, and the day is likely to as unavailable sooner rather than later.
If you’re planning on spending some time at Disney World this holiday season and have an admission type that requires a reservation, we’d recommend making one FAST! Stay tuned to DFB for more on Disney World tickets and park availability.
