Send off 2024 with a bang!
Believe it or not, 2025 is almost here, and Disney World is getting ready to ring in the new year. As we detailed earlier this month, demand is high for New Year’s Eve at the resort, as reservations are already sold out for the Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. Now Disney has released details on what guests can expect at the end of the year.
Both the Magic Kingdom and EPCOT are well-known for their massive New Year’s Eve fireworks festivities, and now Disney has announced the specific times for those shows.
As usual, the Magic Kingdom will stage a special New Year’s Eve vision of the Fantasy in the Sky fireworks beginning at 11:50PM on December 31st.
However, the literal end of the year won’t be the only time you’ll be able to catch the New Year’s fireworks. For those who don’t want to be in the parks past midnight, the show will also take place at 6:30PM that evening. In addition, there will also be 6:30PM and 11:50PM showings on December 30th.
Moving from the Magic Kingdom to EPCOT, the Cheers to the New Year: A Sparkling Celebration is scheduled to begin at 11:54PM on December 31st.
Three of the four Disney World parks will be open until midnight on December 31st. Disney’s Animal Kingdom will open at 8AM but close at 6PM. There is no special New Year’s Eve festivities and this tracks with previous years. Here’s the full breakdown of park hours for December 31st:
- Animal Kingdom — 8AM to 6PM
- Magic Kingdom — 9AM to 12AM
- EPCOT — 9AM to 1AM
- Hollywood Studios — 9AM to 12AM
For those heading to Disney World on or around New Year’s Eve — and judging by the way reservations are moving, there are many — these fireworks times are an important key to planning your time at the resort. Stay tuned to DFB for more on the Holidays at Disney World.
