Ho! Ho! Ho! We are feeling super festive right now because we are at the very first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party of the year.
This special ticketed event in Magic Kingdom is a highlight of the year for us because we get a chance to check out some amazing party-exclusive entertainment, see some rare characters, and eat ALL the party-exclusive snacks. Oh, and we might even do some shopping for exclusive merchandise, too. So come with us and let’s go!
We’ll be updating this post throughout the night as we experience more of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, so keep checking back for the latest!
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a separately ticketed event that happens on select nights in Magic Kingdom from now through December 20th. It takes place after Magic Kingdom closes to regular park visitors for the day (at 6PM) and you need a ticket JUST for the event to attend.
If you don’t have a regular ticket to Magic Kingdom for the day, you can still get into the party at 4PM with the party officially kicking off at 7PM. Tickets for the party start at $169 and go up to $219 per ticket per person depending on the date you attend. Here’s a full list of party dates and ticket prices.
Getting Started
As we previously mentioned, you can enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4PM if you have a party ticket for that evening. Once you scan into the park, a Cast Member will give you a special wristband indicating that you’re a party guest.
If you’re already in Magic Kingdom, you can pick up your wristband at different spots around the park.
Crowds
We got to the park right at 4PM and WOW it was certainly busy! Crowds at the TTC were very intense.
https://x.com/disneyfoodblog/status/1854995392846344406?s=46
They did have a separation between who was attending for the party and who was entering for a regular park day though, so regular park day guests don’t have to get stuck behind that massive crowd.
While the crowds were heavy, the line to enter did move quickly, and we were given our wristband within about 10 minutes and following the rest of the huge crowd into the party.
When you enter Main Street, U.S.A., you’ll see that party guests are directed to follow the direction one of the large Main Street vehicles is directing you to go.
This is where you’ll be given your event map, and your wristband if you weren’t already given one at the front, and you’ll receive your complimentary ornament!
Now it’s really time to party!
Party Map
You can also pick up a party map, which you’ll want to grab because it’s your guide to everything going on during the party, including which attractions are open, entertainment info, cookie stops, and more.
https://x.com/disneyfoodblog/status/1855005758921785602?s=46
The map also lists specialty treats that are exclusive to the party.
It’ll also let you know what holiday entertainment you can enjoy throughout the night…
…as well as, of course, the map, which will show you where all the attractions, dining locations, restrooms, and party-specific offerings are.
Trust us — you don’t want to miss picking up your map!
Food
One thing we LOVE about this party is that you can get FREE snacks. Select locations throughout Magic Kingdom are giving out free drinks (usually hot cocoa and apple cider) AND cookies!
Look for big peppermint-printed inflatables to find all the free-treat locations.
EVERYWHERE You Can Find Free Cookies and Hot Cocoa at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
You’ll also find exclusive snacks you can purchase during the party. Don’t worry — we’ll be trying them all out! However, some of our favorites so far have been:
- Holiday Dinner Loaded French Fries for $6.99 from Casey’s Corner
- Baked Brie Flatbread for $13.29 from Pinocchio Village Haus
- Salted Caramel Horchata for $5.49 from Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe
Stay tuned for more reviews!
Characters
Exclusive meet-and-greets with characters are also a fun thing to do during the party. That includes Jack and Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas. When we walked into the party on Market St, we got to meet some adorable gingerbread men!
There were also some amazing Snowflake Stilt Walkers walking around too!
We also got a chance to say hello to Anna and Elsa, who had about a 25 minute wait.
And we got to see Aurora and Prince Phillip briefly as well!
There are SO many characters to see throughout the evening, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled!

Entertainment
You want entertainment? There is a LOT. You’ll find the Disney Jr. Jingle Jam at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe, featuring music from all your favorite Disney Junior shows. It’s tons of fun for kiddos and lasts all party long, so if you’ve got little ones, we highly recommend checking it out!
There’s also Club Tinsel at the Tomorrowland stage, where you can dance all night long to your favorite Disney and holiday hits.
Frozen Holiday Surprise adds a Frozen-like winter wonderland overlay on Cinderella Castle. You can meet Santa in Storybook Circus, which becomes Santa’s Christmas Carnival.
Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade is always a MUST at the party. It features holiday music, all your favorite characters in their holiday outfits, and more.
Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks lights up the sky with a holiday spectacular, one you certainly won’t want to miss. And it only happens once every night at 10PM!
Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration is a stage show featuring all your favorite characters that you can find at 7:40PM, 9:25PM, and 10:35PM!
You can also find Photo Ops throughout the park that are specific to the holiday season, like this one we spotted on Main Street U.S.A.!
We’ll be checking all of these offerings out tonight so tuned for more!

I wish Disney would go back to giving the prints. They were so amazing!!

We were there for opening night last night. I last attended in 2021. I was surprised that popcorn, ice cream snacks, and bottled beverages are no longer included. We were in the park earlier in the day (from 9:30ish to 2:30ish), and the park was not at all crowded. Sounds like getting out before 4 was a good idea! We rode every ride we wanted to ride including Tron in the 5 hours. We only skipped a few things. Less than 20 minutes for Mine Train, and the event was sold out. We chose rides over entertainment and food. Hard to fit it all in! We did get to all of the cookie stations.
