Okay, so the last time I was in Disneyland, as a Star Wars nerd, I ended up spending a LOT of time in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
So while my friends rode Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run (and sorta got stuck on it), I was enjoying a Cold Brew Black Caf and sitting UNDER the Falcon, just enjoying a quiet evening in Batuu. Then, a Cast Member came up and told me I had to move because the fireworks were starting soon. Okay, so I was confused. But wait…then Cast Members came out and blocked out an area near the Falcon for fireworks viewing. Yes, you could see the Disneyland fireworks from there (but without the music) — and not a lot of people even knew about it. It was AWESOME…but now things have changed.
Earlier this year, Disneyland announced its Season of the Force, which celebrates all things Star Wars. The event, which happens in the spring, brings a ton of new Star Wars offerings to the park. This year, one of those offerings was called “Fire of the Rising Moons.” This particular entertainment includes a viewing of the regular Disneyland fireworks from Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, but for Season of the Force, Disney added a John Williams Star Wars score and essentially created a NEW version of its fireworks.
So my favorite sorta secret spot to watch fireworks in Disneyland with fewer crowds than what you’d find on Main Street, U.S.A. suddenly became its own entertainment event. After Season of the Force ended, this Star Wars-themed version of the fireworks continued, and now, it’s so popular, that we previously reported that Disney would be offering a dining package for it. Now, that dining package is available.
You can now reserve your spot for the “Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo Nighttime Gathering,” where you’ll get to eat some yummy snacks at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo, enjoy a refreshing beverage, and get a special viewing spot for the Fire of the Rising Moons fireworks show. The package includes the following:
- Fried Cheeseburger Croquette Bites
- Apricot goat cheese topped with honey, za’atar, sour cherry gel, cheddar, Monterey jack and pita chips
- Dragon fruit yogurt topped with lychee popping pearls and fresh blueberries
- Cream puff pair of Black Caf cold brew and blue milk flavors
- Unlimited fountain beverages
- Specialty nonalcoholic beverages in a souvenir novelty cup
- Exclusive access to a standing view area of Falcon Overlook for fireworks viewing
A selection of wine, beer and hard seltzer will also be available for purchase for those ages 21 and over.
The dining package is $89 per person, and you’ll still need a park ticket and a park pass reservation to attend. Also, Disneyland fireworks only happen on select evenings, not every night.
Meanwhile, I’m going to go mourn one of my best Disneyland secrets (and then probably book the dining package for my next trip).
Stay tuned to DFB for more.
