Okay, so there is a LOT of new stuff coming to Disney World, and we’re honestly having a time keeping up with EVERYTHING.
We’re getting a new expansion and land in Magic Kingdom. We’re getting a new land and a new show in Hollywood Studios. We’re getting a new land in Animal Kingdom. EPCOT is getting an updated ride. IT IS SO MUCH. However, something else that’s new that’s coming SOON is the Polynesian Village Resort’s new Disney Vacation Club (DVC) tower, Island Tower. Island Tower will feature a new restaurant, Wailulu Bar & Grill, and now we’ve got another look inside that dining spot.
Wailulu Bar & Grill will open on December 17th, 2024 with Island Tower. This casual pool bar and grill will feature an all-day menu for lunch and dinner, as well as coffee and pastries for breakfast. However, it will feature stunning views of Seven Seas Lagoon and Magic Kingdom, including Cinderella Castle. Disney has previously released photos showing us a bit of what the new restaurant will look like.
Well, now, the restaurant has an official page on the Disney World website (however, note that we still don’t have access to a menu yet). We also now have an idea of what the bar’s seating configuration will look like. Check that out below. You can see Cinderella Castle in the distance, so Disney wasn’t kidding about the view!
The bar gets its name from the Hawaiian words “wai,” which means water, and “lulu,” which means calm. The restaurant features Polynesian-inspired artwork, much of which was crafted using recycled materials, including reclaimed fishing nets. As we mentioned, Disney hasn’t released any food details about this location, but we’ll be keeping an eye out for more details, so stay tuned to DFB for more.
