When you go to Disney World every day like we do, you’re bound to develop a few habits along the way.
Maybe you always go this one particular restaurant first thing in the morning. Maybe you always go left when you get to the World Showcase at EPCOT. Maybe you absolutely, always have to try to pull the sword from the stone (today could be your day!). Whatever your particular routine is, we’re sure that there might be some, shall we say, obscure things you always do. That’s definitely the case with us, and we thought it was high time to share a couple of them with ya!
As we were saying, since we go to Disney World every day, we started noticing there were a couple of obscure things we always do. So, we thought we’d share four (4) of them with you right now!
Keeping Tabs on Every. Single. Menu.
We’re not just casually checking out what’s for lunch. Nope, we’ve become full-on menu connoisseurs. Whether it’s a churro cart or a table-service restaurant, we’re hyper-aware of what’s available, what’s new, and what might become our next must-try snack. It’s not just about eating. It’s about strategizing.
Maybe there’s a limited-time cupcake that’s going to sell out by 3 PM, or maybe we know a hidden gem that’s perfect for a midday pick-me-up. Either way, staying on top of the menus is like our Disney World homework (but way more delicious).
Dodging Parade Crowds Like Pros
Parades are magical, there’s no denying it, but so is being able to navigate the park without getting stuck in a crowd of Mickey ears.
When the parades roll through, we’re not the ones staking out a spot. We’re the ones sneaking around the routes like ninjas. You’ll find us zigzagging through lesser-known paths to get where we need to go without wasting time.
Strategically Positioning for Fuel Rod Swaps
At this point, our portable chargers have become fully part of the family. We know exactly how long they’ll last and, more importantly, when they’re about to hit 0%. Instead of risking a dead phone while we’re mid-reservation, we’ve mastered the art of camping near a Fuel Rod station just in time to swap out for a fresh one.
Is it the most glamorous thing we do? Probably not, but when you’re in Disney World, your phone is practically an extra limb, and we’re not about to let it die on us.
Chasing the Perfect Light for Photos
We’re low-key (okay, high-key) obsessed with the perfect lighting for our photos. For example, we know that certain spots around Disney World basically glow at certain times of day, and we’ve got the schedule memorized.
Morning light for castle shots? Check. Golden hour in Galaxy’s Edge? Double check. It’s all about waiting for just the right moment to snap those pictures that look straight out of a fairytale.
There you have it! Those are four obscure things we do every single day in Disney World. These little quirks might sound odd to some, but to us, they’re all part of the magic. Next time you’re in the parks, keep an eye out and you might just catch us in action, or maybe you won’t. We’re pretty good at slinking around unnoticed too.

I really love the Electrical Water Pageant. We love staying at a resort with a boat to MK so that we can time it just right to catch the EWP on the trip back to the resort at night. When everything aligns to watch the fireworks and then catch the Pageant on the ride home, it’s pretty magical, I can’t deny.
